I just put in an order to get a set of the black ones like you got. I was told they were currently out of stock so I reserved a set and they're supposed to be back in stock and ready to ship out on 11/14. Thanks for bringing these to my attention, I contacted them via email as you suggested and they responded quickly. When they do arrive I believe I'm going to just use the halogen bulbs they come with. I simply wanted a better looking headlight and don't need extra light for the driving I do.

Just placed my order for a set of these, pretty excited to try them out, my stock trail headlights are starting to yellow a bit, I thought about restoring them by sanding and clear coating, but decided to go with the spyder ones since they do look a bit more modern.

HID's actually run cooler than halogens. I've ran HID's in all of my vehicles and the plastic lens has never been cracked or damaged. I too am curious about why putting hid's or leds would void warranty. I will be receiving my Spyder headlights in the next batch and will throw in hids as soon as I get them. I don't mind voiding the warranty because these are $250 headlights so we'll see what happens.

Have you received yours yet? I was told the black ones won't be restocked until 11/14 when I reserved a set yesterday. Maybe yours are in this batch as well if you haven't go them yet?

These look really good! I messaged them as well to see what the wait time is. If you have yellowing on your head lights you can always wet sand them down depending on how bad they are, message me if you have any question on that for you people waiting on these new headlights.

I'm just using the halogen bulbs. I'm not sure if this is normal with projector headlights (these are my first), but it definitely has a very sharp cutoff line. It takes some getting used to.

I'm going to hang onto mine for a little while yet. I want to see how these pan out in the long term.

So far so good. They are holding up well, no issues. It's just taking some getting used to the cutoff line for the projectors. I had to adjust them a few times to get them just right.

No i have not but i was told that the next batch should be shipping out 11/7 and my pair of headlights is in that batch so hopefully i get them by mid nov.

Hey all, just wondering if anyone else has received their set yet? I ordered a black set on 9/21. Original ETA was 10/13 but that doesn’t seem right, compared to what I’m seeing in the comments.

I got an updated ETA of 11/6 at the end of October. I know things are backed up all over and I don’t want to harass these guys so I figured I’d ask here to get an idea of where we’re at. Thanks!

Funny you ask, I just came across this thread yesterday and reached out to Spyder Auto (emails provided in this thread) and Robert got back to me right away, confirming that the black housing lights are currently in stock, and if I order today, they'll ship on Friday. Hopefully that's some good news for you!

I'm going to hold off until I see a few more photos and reviews. They're so elusive online, no photos other than this thread. (Although I bought my black housing taillight under a similar vague purchase and they have been awesome for years now!)

I reserved a set back on 10/19. I hadn't heard anything and emailed Robert yesterday. He confirmed they received more of the black headlights on 11/14 and that they were in the process of allocating them. He also said I'd receive an email with a tracking number went they were on the way. Good to hear they will most likely ship out this Friday, I've been waiting for a month.

I got a tracking number for my set and they should arrive by Tuesday at the latest. I probably will not put them on until after the holiday, but at least they're on the way.

I placed my order around the same time you did and i received an email with my tracking number yesterday, so if you havent received yours yet im sure you will very soon, hopefully!
Also fortunately I live only a couple hours away from where they ship so im supposed to be receiving mine today, im planning on installing mine over the weekend and will report back with pictures once i get them installed.

In my personal opinion i think it makes the front end look a lot more modern. like drewsro mentioned before the low beam has a very sharp cutoff line that takes some getting used other than that i like them a lot.

Looks good! That's the same thing my friend was telling me, he thinks it makes the 4Runner look more modern.

still not sure how i feel about them. The headlights look very similar to the Taco version from Tacobeast. Still gonna wait til i see and hear back from more of you

Agreed, but from the photos posted so far, they look really cool! I'm a bit more concerned about build quality and any potential issues (like fogging).

I HID retrofitted the OEM headlights, and the look has just never grown on me, albeit the light output is undeniably better. I WISH someone made an updated housing for the lower DRL/parking lights next to the fogs.

I'm worried the these update headlights will only draw more attention to those outdated looking DRL lights now!
