2010-2013 Spyder Headlights

I pulled the trigger on some brand new Spyder headlights for the 2010-2013 4Runners. Unfortunately up to this point, no one really made headlights for these years unless you wanted to do a retrofit. These headlights are still halogen, but they do have HID/LED in the works, though no ETA. I don’t know if the white strip lights up or not, but we’ll see. I went with the black housing. I got them for $244 shipped so I figured I would try them out. I will be doing the install Saturday, but everything looks pretty straight forward.

Subscribed. Would like to know your thoughts after install.
I have also been looking for a decent set, but not wanting to spend $1000 on them.
If they are a similar output to stock, I’d go for them.
Keep us posted, I like the look of them.
Link on where you purchased them from?

I actually got them from emailing them directly for the group buy. They have them listed on their site, spyderauto.com, but didn’t have pictures or really any info. I found out about them from Instagram actually.

Not sure why it’s so difficult for me to find these online...
Go to their website and it only lets me input up to 2002 in the search.
Link from someone would be sweet.
Thanks

Email [email protected] or email [email protected]. I did it all through email. If you go to new items, you’ll see it listed on the site but no info, price, or pictures. I don’t even know if you can buy directly from their site.

I see that now, thanks. Just sent them an email.
When you did the install, is the oem low beam bulb (H11) the same for the new housings? Or do they have a different bulb socket?

And on a Shoreline Blue no less. I should have played the lottery tonight[emoji16]

I honestly don’t know what bulbs they use. I’m guessing the same. I didn’t pull the caps off since they came with the bulbs already installed.

So about the same as stock right now.

Damn you Shoreline Blue owners...

After a few days, let us know what’s your take on them. I like em but I don’t love em. Guess I’ll wait on the LED/HID version. Personally, I think my retro fit was one of the best mods to date.

It doesn't appear the light output increased but they look pretty good, better than stock in my opinion. I think they'd look really good on a pearl white 4Runner, I'm going to have to get a set. HID/LED really isn't important to me, the stock headlights have always been bright enough for the driving I do.

Light output looks pretty darn close to stock. I was worried they might be worse, but am glad they are not. The nice thing about these is even though they are not currently HID, I’m sure I can put those in since these now have projector housings as opposed to the traditional ones on the stock headlights. Spyder said it will void the warranty though, but the warranty is only good for a year anyways. I’ll probably wait it out though.
