2010 Front End Clunk

Lots of threads, I know, also a lot to dig through though. Information overload, so I am going to start a fresh thread if that is ok.

2010 SR5 with 87k miles. Getting a bit of a clunk when going over uneven bumps at slower speeds. Can't so much FEEL it yet, but it is very audible. Everything I am reading leads me to sway bar bushings and/or end links.

Has anyone on this forum had to replace theirs yet? If so, what mileage did you experience this? I am trying to start at the easiest and cheapest thing before working my way up into UCA bushings and struts.

Thanks for any guidance.

ok.. so yesterday.. i added spc uca's and replaced my sway bar bushings in the front and also took my skids off getting ready for my new one to come in.. so one of those or a cpl were the culprit to my rattles up front. i'd start with the cheapest being taking your front skids off.. drive it around.. if that didn't fix it then while they're off replace your front sway bar bushings. if that doesn't do it then replace your uca's. i suspect its the sway bar bushings since it happened on uneven roads where one wheel was in normal position and the other front wheel dips down. it's rattle free over bumps now!

P.S. i have 69k and wheel hard putting those sway bar bushings under a lot of stress

If I recall correctly, the oem balljoint can't be replaced, but I think you can replace the bushings on the back of the arms.

That is my understanding as well, which is one reason I tend to have that further down the list of my potential solutions.

Can anyone confirm that the 4th Gen and 5th Gen sway bar end links are the same?
