It May not be a calibration problem but a problem with your sending unit in the tank. I had a similar issue with my F-150. The gauge would read fine till a quarter tank and stay there. I looked it up on the F150 site and the fix was to add Techron to the fuel for a couple of tanks to clean the contacts on the sending unit. It seemed to have worked. You can buy it at any auto parks store.
