2010 Trail to a 2014 Limited

Has anyone moved from a earlier Trail to the new 2014 Limited. Looking at making the move to get some of the new in cab technology and wondering if it is worth the change up? Any comments on the difference in driving dynamics with the 20" wheels and XREAS?

2014 Trails don't have the X-REAS or 20" Rims. Same as before.

I traded my 2013 Trail for a 2014 Limited. IMO the change is very much worth it. I personally loved my trail but never used it for "off-roading". In my new Limited, I LOVE all of the technology. My favorite is the change from orange to blue FINALLY. I hated the orange. Moving from a pretty basic 4Runner to a Limited w/ nav, heated and A/C seats, the smoothness, etc. I don't regret it at all.

Went from a 2011 SR5 to 2013 LE and the LE does handle better, but the ride is "firmer." When I first got it it had almost 40 lbs in each tire and it was too firm. Dropping back to 32 made a big difference, but still firmer than the SR5.

It does handle better, roll and dive less. The Keyless is great.

Thanks for the info. Not a lot of 2014 LE's up here in Canada as yet and haven't been able to test drive one.

Saw one fresh off the boat but it was already sold so couldn't drive. The Optitron gauges looked good in blue and the JBL audi was a marked improvement.

Before removing my xreas suspension and going to icon lift. The xreas handled very well in the mountains with the turns and all. Put it into sport shift and had fun driving it. If you don't plan on doing any mods to your new 2014 LE and keeping it stock. I would go with a little bit wider 20" tire.

You didn't mention if your Trail had KDSS. If so I can help there since I have a 2009 Sport Edition with XREAS, and a 2013 Trail with KDSS. Both vehicles are 4X4, and for what it's worth each turns very flat on curves and handle exceedingly well.

Well I did it. Only a day of ownership but notice the steering is firmer...maybe due to the full time 4WD on the LE. Cornering is much the same but a quieter ride from the 2010 Trail. JBL Audio is a nice addition. Optitron gauges are very nice in blue.

Thanks! I'm not sure why I wrote Country hills, but it was definitely Charlesglen. I was hoping to go as it would be good to learn some things about the vehicle outside of the manual. I'm currently in the process of moving back to Calgary from Fort St. John BC so the next couple months are going to be pretty busy. If I have the time i'll be there.

I have 2012 TE. I drove my father-in-laws 2014 LE and was not impressed other than the more comfortable ventilated leather seats and cheap feeling leather steering wheel. I prefer the old gauges and I would not be interested in trading my 12 TE in for a 14 LE, to answer the OP question. Take it for what its worth.
