2010+ TRD Supercharger

If by some chance this does happen...even if it's a TRD product, would it void the power train warranty?

I am getting sick and tired of this waiting. The 5th gen debuted in 2009 for gods sake. They have been delaying it for ages, this is BS.
We've already established in the past that the peeps driving the desk and answering the phones at TRD don't know sheet.
We knew when the TRD wheels for our 5th gens were out before they did and denied they made any.
As stated before,Ted Moncure is the TRD lead engineer in charge of the project. Let's test your social networking skills ,as he's out there ,to see if you can find the real ETA. I'm still saving up my cash and it's a little early to bug them as he already stated it would be this summer.
I guess in this case the people at TRD were correct. What about Ted ?

as far 2014 goes, Blah,Blah,Blah. The 2014/15 4runner might have a 6 speed auto and Updated V-6,of course my friends gardeners brother said the supercharger to fit that will be out in 2016 for sure, Blah,Blah,Blah.

2010-up the V-6 got an updated valve train with roller rockers. There were a lot of other changes also which make the top end components not interchangeable.

I've been working with Toyota Japan, both directly and more so indirectly, on a different issue but while I had their ear I asked about the SC. They seem very serious about it finally coming in Q1 2014. It appears that in their minds it would mostly be for the FJ and Aussie guys as one seemed surprised I would even consider one for a Limited 4Runner.

Wow, how out of touch is Toyota "seemed surprised I would even consider one for a Limited 4Runner". A supercharger is perfect for a limited with full time. Anyways You bring up a good point .After all this wait TRD might not even make a 4runner version.Just keep it to the FJ as in the past.
If you have connections in Toyota what about the 2014/15 Refresh / 6 speed auto, and the DI V-6 coming ?
Toyota goes by the numbers. It may seem like 4Runners have a huge enthusiast following, but it is probably a pretty small percentage.
My guess is that they are being extra careful or struggling with getting it to run like a factory supercharger. The supercharged 2GR had problems in Australia (eventually cancelled), the older Toyota superchargers from the late 90s/early 00s had tune problems. I don't think they want a repeat of that. Is the Tundra S/C still available? I seem to recall it having problems.
I don't know that the refresh will bring DI or a 6AT. The 2GR seems to be getting the DI treatment rather than the 1GR.

I don't think that's fair. If you look at the demographics of all 4Runner owners, especially Limited owners, i would think we are a very small and weird bunch here on T4R.org.

My plan was to wait until the spring/summer of '14 anyways. I was hoping to monitor the SC's performance and dependability for awhile before I pulled trigger.

I sure hope this happens! I put a s/c on my 2009 challenger and made a world of differance in performance, get up and go! Also I might add zero change in mph!
I know it will not be a apples to apple comparison speaking of V8 to V6, but I would expect similar percentage of increase in power. It added 150 hp and 125 ftlbs of torque at the wheels. That made an already fast car, scary fast.
When this comes out I will be getting one.

And I almost had the money saved up for release this summer :dammit:
