Then there's an upgrade right now that will put the power to the ground and smoke your 285's off. It's called regearing and the ECGS has them waiting for you.:flame: That or contact Gadget at URD who already has a functioning s/c for the 5 th gen."
I just got off the phone with Gadget at URD. He said they have "NO ETA" on releasing there kit. they are waiting on some wiring plug connectors and have no idea when. He also said they are using a wipple.
Looks like no TRD Supercharger until 2014 according to this guy who won the Supercharger at last years FJSummit raffle from TRD......... The new SUPERCHARGER: What are the top 10 questions to ask Toyota TRD about it? - Page 6 - Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum
Time to regear with ECGS! I 'm more then happy with my power to the ground since I regeared mine!
What the french toast!
We've already established in the past that the peeps driving the desk and answering the phones at TRD don't know sheet.
We knew when the TRD wheels for our 5th gens were out before they did and denied they made any.
As stated before,Ted Moncure is the TRD lead engineer in charge of the project. Let's test your social networking skills ,as he's out there ,to see if you can find the real ETA. I'm still saving up my cash and it's a little early to bug them as he already stated it would be this summer.
Could someone please explain to me the significance of the term "Roller-rocker", as used in Toyota's reference to this S/C?
I understand it's use re camshafts/valves, but not here. Is it simply a reference to the 1GE-FE?
Gracias.
as far 2014 goes, Blah,Blah,Blah.
I've been working with Toyota Japan, both directly and more so indirectly, on a different issue but while I had their ear I asked about the SC. They seem very serious about it finally coming in Q1 2014. It appears that in their minds it would mostly be for the FJ and Aussie guys as one seemed surprised I would even consider one for a Limited 4Runner.
Harper's link seems to confirm it as well, FWIW.
Wow, how out of touch is Toyota "seemed surprised I would even consider one for a Limited 4Runner".

Assuming this is supposed to be MPG?Also I might add zero change in mph!
