Someone modified an 07-09 TRD supercharger to fit on a 2014 FJ with the same dvvti motor as ours. Supposedly tuned with Unichip. Nice to know it can be done... Too bad unichip is a worthless piece of shit according to the tacoma guys.

Instead of talking about superchargers for the 4Runner, I feel this thread would be more productive if we talked about things that could actually happen in real life. I will start....
Yesterday, I chased a leprechaun to the end of a rainbow. There I found a pot of gold and took it. Sadly, it only amounted to about $3K. Not enough for my planned supercharger, and fairly surprising when you consider today's gold prices. After conversing with said leprechaun for a while, I found out he was actually an out of work carny who was stealing small amounts of gold just to feed his family. Feeling bad about my thievery, I returned his sad little pot of gold and offered him a job. He took it on the condition that he would swap my 4.0L with the extra 5.7L he had in the pot on the other side of the rainbow. Needles to say, Ill have the first 5.7 4Runner in all the land...Just waiting on that next rainbow so he can get back and grab it!

I posted this a page earlier but got no love. Watch the video very closely in the first post in the following link. They slapped the TRD supercharger on a 2010+ FJ and tuned it using unichip. It runs, puts down some power, and you can hear the boost over the cheesy music. It's been done gang. Just a matter of time before someone does it on a 5th gen 4Runner.
