Recently purchased a 2011 T4R Limited 4WD:
I know... it's the Alternator. That is what I thought.. Took to stealership to diagnose. They say the voltage is within normal range and battery is fine. 'nothing to worry about'. It still dips and dances before comes to rest just shy of the middle hash mark on the gauge. WTH?
BTW: A new Alternator installed is between $1000 - 1100 depending on 100/130 volts
Taking a long trip to Big Bend on Tuesday and seeking piece-of-mind I won't be 'FORD - Found On Road Dead'.
(They also did computer updates which on a side-note, made my motor quieter and more efficient. Highly recommend if your motor is loud and sluggish)
