2012 BP Limited Build Thread

I finally hit my 20 post mark [emoji119] so it’s time to start a build thread. I bought my rig last October, it’s a 2012 BP Limited that had 85k miles. One owner old lady driven.

First thing I did was blackout the chrome on the grille and plastidipped the limited wheels. Added the console tray from Amazon.

Next up was a custom grille light setup that I put together with stuff at Menards. LED trailer lights, wired up to a light at harness (to keep wiring clean) and spliced into the DRLs. Cost about $40 all said and done. (No simple aftermarket options for the 2010-13 that I could find). Also decided to apply some more plastidip to the front, saw another on here with it and decided to copy.

Got a steal of a deal on some TRD Pro wheels and tires. Installed a K&N CAI. Also installed the .5” (1” total lift) Cornfed leveling spacer while I was at it.

Lastest mods were a Yakima Megawarrior rack and I removed the running boards. Swapped out the taillights for the USR blackout style (super easy and plug and play in the 2012). This spring I plan to install a 2.5” suspension lift, 285s, and a more streamlined roof rack.

Forgot about one more thing. I bought factory spray cans of Blizzard Pearl and did my rear hatch a little different. Painted the chrome and then blacked out the letters using the overlays.

Love the front end, I have a 2012 Thinking about doing hid's with tsx projectors.

Projectors would be cool, I did the simple H9 swap and am really pleased with light output. Until someone makes a more affordable projector/hid setup, I’ll save my $1000 for other projects.

Added some underside “bling” and blacked out the roof rails. I’m thinking the megawarrior rack might have to go, need to find something lower profile.

Finally bit the bullet and installed Spidertrax. Followed directions to a T as I have a little anxiety about them. Super stoked about the stance, beats buying new wheels and tires until they need replaced.

Swapped out the Yakima rack for a Rola rack with low profile mounts from 4x4Innovations. Definitely a more factory look with better lines all around.

Lots of changes recently. Installed a 2.5”/2” lift kit and slapped some KO2 285s on. Color matched the door handles. Lift is Wheelers T1 (Eibach) coils up front, OME 2895E rear coil, and Eibach Pro Truck Shocks all around.

DaveSki - When you did your lift, did you have to do much trimming of the finder liner or have to do a body mouth chop to make those 285s fit? Did you have to adjust your differential with spacers?

Thanks!
