The LTD will almost certainly be close to that. When I compared 2011's, the SR5's & Trails were 4000$ more, and the LTD was about 8000$ more

Keep in mind when looking at pricing that most of the US models start more base than ours do, standard here could be an option there. If I was buying a LTD I would certainly have looked into the US, but its just not worth it on the other models. I personally think the Canadian SR5 is a bit nicer (more TE than LTD) than the US model and would have paid a bit of a premium for it anyways.

Yes, Canadian SR5 is nicer than US one, but I paid $40,000 before taxes for SR5 Upgrade package, after intensive negotiations with the dealer. And it's he price of US Limited.

Same here, paid 35k for the SR5 base, with intensive negotiation. At least it a scam with all manufacturer, no only Toyota...
 
Not sure if it's still there, but there was a low-mile (1,700) used 2011 Limited with Nav on cars.com last week asking $35,900. Even with the duty, exchange, shipping and fees, there's a $10,000 savings to be had if you don't mind a little paperwork.

I've bought two vehicles from the US and will keep doing it until Toyota aligns its pricing to account for the massive dollar disparity.
 
It's interesting that the article states vehicles will be arriving late October. Most dealers have been saying Dec or January .... so who knows. Neither the Canadian or US sites are showing 2012 as an option under Build My Toyota / Build and Price....

This seems to be the only "significant change".

Making the entry level SR5 (the most sold one) more and more expensive is usually the way to make bigger profits. Nothing new here.

The standard SR5 audio system for 2012 (with USB/Bluetooth) was a $585 option on the 2011, so at least you're getting something for the additional dollars.
 
I guess they did away with the magnetic grey option for the 2012 model year, at least on the trail that I just built on their website for fun.
 
For those in Canada, the 2012 Tacoma's are cheaper than the 2011 model and they have more content in fact - perhaps some hope we might see the gap narrow.
 
We, in South Florida and other Southern States are unlucky when it comes to Toyota pricing because of Southeast Toyota. They tack on a $699 Toyotagurd Elite package on every new 4Runner that basically includes two oil changes, two tire rotations, roadside assistance and paint protection. Southeast Toyota also slaps on a $299 Window tint package for two front windows. One Thousand Dollars down the toilet if you want to buy a Toyota down here. What a Rip-Off.
 
I would sell my 2012 SR5 with Nav & Entune to one of you Canadians to save a few bucks. I really like the 4runner but not attached yet. I knew going in I would miss the V8 for towing but thought I would give it a chance. You can't really take a test drive for 2 hours on the interstate while your boat I hooked up. At least not in TN.
