Another successful install of a driver scheel-mann Klima Vario F in black leather this time. This was a 2013 so it introduced a few quirks we weren't expecting but now its part of the solution.

If you have a 5th Gen 4Runner and are considering our scheel-mann seat mounting system, the result is not a full manual setup. In order to be able to utilize the 4Runner's seat rails we needed to keep the fore/aft motor in place which means figuring out the wiring and the replacement switch for the motor's function. We think we nailed the looks.

The seat motor, if you do not have seat memory, is just a two wire motor (ground and power) so it's function was easy to integrate. Now if you have seat memory then it means you have a 4-wire connector. We do have the connector solution for that BUT do keep in mind that you will lose that seat memory function by doing this seat upgrade.

I have considerable financial means, like 8 figures liquid assets, and I look for low mileage salvage seats out of wrecks for my wife’s 2014. Picking up a 2018 passenger front seat from LKQ Salt Lake City on Friday that cost me $144. I’ll have to swap in the seat heater pads that I installed in the original, but been there and done that.

That works awesome for those that don't have an issue with OEM seats...and maybe only have a paltry 6 figure liquid assets. Back issues hit different for different people.
