Bought my wife a 2013 Limited with 35k miles 13 days ago.
Over the past weekend, I was closing the tailgate and my finger rubbed along a rough spot. Upon further examination I found the paint had been bubbling (bigger than the size of a bean, smaller than the size of a dime) and there was rusting from the sliver of paint opening from the bubbling. I called the dealership (supposedly a large and reputable dealer in the Twin Cities, MN) and the "friend" who sold me the car. They told me there was nothing they can do for it/me....
I am lights out livid about this and could use some direction from anyone experiencing the same problem. I have read and re-read the manufacturers warranty over and over about this, it says 5 years, unlimited miles, but surface rust wasn't covered. I can't return the vehicle because I'm past the state's law time frame. Any advice/suggestions would be most appreciated.
