Took Delivery Today
UPS dropped it off about 1:00 this afternoon and my lovely wife was kind enough to send me a couple pictures which I felt obliged to share with you all.
I need to pick up some paint supplies to start prepping it and get my paint ordered for the base/clear.
Anyway, behold my new boat anchor...

I went with 3 hoops as well. I think it just comes down to personal preference and probably where you're wheeling. I like the added protection of the headlight hoops but then again I'm frequently in the woods.

Yeah I chose 3 hoops due to all the deer out where I live and luckily since being there I have only hit one deer since I began to drive. But $4,000 later I dont mind the extra protection like you said.

I went single hoop just for aesthetics. The 3 hoop on the 3rd gen bumper was too straight up and I have always had a bit of a soft side for the pre-runner look.
This is my DD and I am going to TRY to keep it out of the woods. :laugh: I have a couple other rigs that I can scratch up if i feel so inclined.
Now the trick is going to be getting this beast at least in primer to keep the surface rust at bay while I finish up some Honey-Do's. I wish I had my own spray equipment so I could just paint it myself... Never know, more tools can't be a bad thing, Right? :bigok:

I get the best excuse, Mine is Bare Steel... I still have to paint it.
Also, I have been soo busy working on a deck expansion for the Misses that mine is actually still bolted to the pallet in the Garage. Hopefully prep will start this weekend. Also have to construct some type of stand to sit it on while I paint it.

If you any closer, I could help you out with the deck to give you time to do your bumper. I carry a c-13 license also, 2nd trade.
Get some heavy wire/ cloths hangers and hang it from a tree or the trusses in the garage.

hey now, i've seen a skid plate and ...'ahem'... set of sliders installed since delivery.:whoo:
I put on one of those bumpers you guys got earlier this year.... whaddabeeest! 9 hrs with winch install.... no wiring the turn signals, lights or winch. Proabably close to 14 hrs to get it all done.

I appreciate the offer.
I hope to get some primer and such this weekend and maybe start on the prep and priming. I plan to get it primed and at least get the back side and brackets painted with some Rustoleum and the outer shell ready for color. I have a couple of offers to help get the base/clear on the outer shell and hoop.
I also have to get the frame ends trimmed and get the caps installed, so I figure it will be a project over a couple of weekends.
Also, anybody with a 3rd Gen ...'ahem'... Scotty_h... or any of you other folks, how much droop did you get on the front with the bumper. I am about to pull the trigger on a set of Highlander springs and struts from a fellow T4R member and I think I am going to add a ToyTec spacer on it and I am trying to get an idea of what I will end up with when it is all said and done. I am hoping to end up with 1"-1.5" once it all settle out.

I would hang it if you can like mentioned above. The guys at our PC shop run wires through the top winch mounting holes with large washers on the back side to keep them from getting in the way.

Picked up some painting supplies today and found a Duplicolor dark shadow grey that I think may save me from having paint mixed to match the flares. I will post up some pictures later tonight. The test panel is drying out front currently.
Deck is decked so just railings to finish, so I am hoping to start priming tomorrow.arty:

Man that looks great! Did you use the regular mounts for the rigids or did you drill new holes or shim them up to make them sit in the middle of the opening?

Regular mounts but did shim them up a bit. This is just temporary it work, but I still need to tweak them a little bit. All in all those two little lights probably triple the amount of light on the road when turned on.
