**2013 SHROCKWORKS Group Buy**

I'm confused now.

Do I call up shrockworks and just ask for the discount pay half and wait for my sliders to be delivered to me?

Best of my knowledge, no welding or modification to frame required but perhaps COB (@ChildrenOfBodom) will chime in as he got a front bumper with the last Shrockworks GB.

ummmm... It is my understanding that this bumper comes with frame end caps that need to be welded on to add strength to the 3rd Gen frame for winching applications. Pretty standard for most aftermarket 3rd gen bumpers I believe.

I ordered mine 4 months ago last week and am eagerly awaiting it arrival..:girl:

Hi guys, sorry for not responding to this earlier, another long day at work and had some stuff to take care of this evening. This thread was started as an "interest" thread, lining people up to participate in the group buy. The specifications of the group buy require at least 10 participants.

Now that we have 10 participants, I've got an email in to Mark requesting that he release the coupon code to me so I can post it here and PM it to everyone so they can place their orders.
The group buy discount is ONLY valid if you have the coupon at the time you place your order.
Which is why the guys that ordered last month couldn't get in on it, as referenced in an earlier post. [MENTION=64685]TOY2G[/MENTION], you may be able to append your order and get the discount if you call them and tell them that you're part of the group buy, didn't understand how it worked, etc etc etc...

I sure hope not, as that was my plan as well...

also still waiting on hourly labor quote from nearby install shop...

Here is what Mark said in reference to the tax question and installation shop located near their shop in Houston, TX

The (install) shop is maybe 15min away. It’s called BRAVE Motorsports and Dave is the guy to talk to. I’m not sure what their hourly rate is.
There will not be sales tax on the majority of these orders because they are out of state. If the billing address of the CC used is in Texas, I’ll have to charge 8.25% sales tax. Otherwise, there is no tax.

To Clarify, You should NOT have already ordered your products if you want in on this group buy. In order to participate in the group buy, you need the discount code, which I do not have yet. However, I have requested it and will post it here as well as PM it to everyone once I have it. Please continue to add yourself to the running list below. As soon as I have the discount code and time frame for ordering, I'll post it up here and people can start ordering. Please PM me or ask any questions here prior to ordering to save us all some trouble.

I still can't believe there are TWO 5th gen bumpers that want to be ordered. I actually want to see it on a customers rig to make my final opinion on it. But as always the gang at Shrockworks make great quality products.

Ok, quick little update. I've just received an email back from Mark informing me that the discount code that he is creating for our group will only be valid for 1 week and we can choose when the week starts.

On the first page of this thread, I stated that we'd run this thread until 2/12/13 to allow for people that have to wait to place their order for financial reasons. Obviously the 4 month (+/-) wait for your parts begins the day you place your order. Being an impatient person myself, I can understand that people want to get their parts on order as soon as possible so they can start counting down until delivery.

So, here is my question for those of you that are already committed to this group buy. Are you ok with waiting to place your orders until 2/12 so we can get as big a group as possible, or do you want to move the time line up? An alternative end date I had in mind was the end of the month, 1/31.

If there is anyone that has been watching this thread for updates thinking they have plenty of time to make/save money to get in on this, speak up here or PM me, or forever hold your piece.

I'm good with doing the end of this month. I'm probably going to opt for the pay half at the beginning and the latter half when it goes to powdercoating. But yeah been following the thread and thanks for the consistent update Dusty

I'm good with whatever schedule you set up. I actually ordered a couple days ago but have not called to pay anything as I don't want to get into a situation where I don't get the discount but I can complete the order whenever you guys want. If you need to wait a little bit to get more orders then that's fine. if you're ready to pull the trigger now, that's ok as well.

Sorry if I gave bad info on 3rd Gen bumper install; that's why I deferred to COB for the true story on that.

I already have an account with them so I just put the order in and selected "Pay by credit card over the phone." The order sits there waiting for me to complete it by making the initial deposit which I won't do until we have a code. At which point I will call Mark and complete the order. I also noted all this on the order itself.

I'll be honest, I'm in no real rush to get the bumper in 4 months, I would love an extra chunk of change off and it gives me more time to save up for the suspension upgrade.
