I have a 2013 SR5 with the standard (non-JBL) stereo. About 25% of the time when first starting the truck the stereo comes on but the head unit display does not light up. Sometimes it will light up within 5 or 10 seconds, sometimes not. I can then usually tap on the screen and the display will light up. Sometimes while driving the display will just go dark and sometimes the volume knob or the input buttons will not work on first try but then will work when actuated again.
I though this might go away when they pulled my dash and replaced the airbag but it did not.
Minor wiring/connectivity issue? Known issue? Time for an aftermarket stereo?!
Any similar experiences?
