2014 4runner seats already showing wear

I have a 2014 4runner purchased in September and the driver seat is already showing wear on the left side near the back. I keep the car clean and do not wear any type of clothing that would be rough enough to rub it. The black simulated leather has worn through to the gray underlying layer.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Hmmm.... My 4Runner has about 22225 miles on it and they still look like new.

We also have a 2014 - 4Runner, wife uses it as a daily driver. Seats look as new - I will verify this latter. No disrespect meant by my next comment, but are you a rather big fellow? If so maybe unusual wear patterns are developing as a result of that.

2013 sr5 4runner seat wear

I own a 2013 4runner and mine also has seat wear...18,000 miles. Cloth seats though.

2015 Driver seat ware. 5th Gen flaw?

I too am having same issue. It appears that where yhe fabric portion of the cusion meets the plastic outside trim of seat next to door. The fabric has a fine fray line, eventually it will ware through. My 4 Runner has 6,000 miles and is 6 months old. When i am sutting in the seat there is no contact. This phenomenon seems to be happening on entry and exit. I do have running boards but would have to fully stand up on boards then step down to exit. That process is very unnatural, I am not a small guy but just a touch above 200 lbs. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe a edge guard on plastic. The plastic edge is very sharp.

I am having issues with the center console, the material is cracking and of course the service dept is saying I spilled something on it and the warranty will not cover it. I bought it Dec 2013, last models on the lot. I'm so tired of taking care of things and when something happens it's a miracle the warranty doesn't cover it. Anyone have suggestions to get this taken care of?

Having a 3" lift on my runner, the drivers seat off the left leg when getting out it creasing the side, and over time it will get worse i'm afraid....that little bit of hop to get in and sliding out daily is starting to worry me as well

I'm in a 15 SR5 with black/grey cloth seats. The black outer parts of the seats look fine, the grey is getting "soft" looking like a cotton ball, not pilling, but fuzzy like Velcro damage. I weigh 220, but I've seen much larger people in these vehicles. Im tall enough where I don't drag across the seat getting in I don't wear wallet chains, gun holsters, accessories. I typically wear light weight cargo shorts, basketball shorts, or suits. No denim/rivets/Velcro/bedazzled pockets, pocket flaps, large buttons as the dealer has suggested. I argued that if it was damage from me, why is it on the seat back too, I don't know have anything to damage the center of my seat back.
23k miles on it. I'm disappointed in this quality. Also when turning, my seat feels like something is loose and rolling inside. Dealer claims no go there too.
