2014 4Runner

I'm finally worthy enough to post in this thread! Yesterday we brought home our new baby, '14 Trail with KDSS, Sliding Cargo Deck, running boards and the carpet mats as added options. We also did the leather upgrade in a charcoal color so it's going back for that in a few days. Here she is!

This is the best pic I'v seen of the Magnetic Gray Metallic TE which I'm thinking of getting. Did not know you could upgrade to leather in the TE. Congrats..

Thanks! The leather is custom and aftermarket. Most dealerships will have a huge stack of custom colors you can choose from. Katzkin is a popular brand you'll see a lot. We paid $1,495 for the full upgrade. So for us it was either a Trail Premium with fake leather and moonroof or Trail without a moonroof but real leather :)

We are supposed to get ours on Friday. It looks and is equipped pretty much the same. The same issue with leather. Ours is in getting leather and heated seats. There's nothing quite like the smell of real leather.

Thanks folks! The Land Cruiser is my weekend toy, 4Runner is our daily driver and may be the new trail rig when it's time for something newer. And yes, I'm on MUD, that's where I spend most of my time.

I'll leave these last couple pics for you guys. These are a bit older before all the armor and Monstaliner paint job :)

And the most current after redoing the whole steering system:

Yeah, yeah, Land Cruiser looks great, blah, blah, blah...
What I really want are details on your photography. Excellent work. Almost HDR surreal.

Thanks! Everything was shot with my Nikon D90 and a Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 lens. I shoot RAW, and do the processing in Bridge, a tone-mapping of sorts to balance out the shadows and highlights.

Sometimes I'll make 3~5 exposures of a single RAW file, save them as TIFF and do a little Exposure Fusion in Photomatix to get this kind of look:

Sticky removal?

Mod: The 14's are not exactly news now, just wondering if the "sticky" status can be removed and let this drop down?

When are the 15's coming out? :D

There is a thread somewhere in the 5th gen section. It looks pretty time consuming I will try it when my free changes run out. I actually enjoyed changing oil on my 2012 tacoma but these seem like they are a little tougher. I believe Antman did the write up. It very well written and easy to follow.

It is actually different from that. My husband looked at it, the filter is even different. I think he is getting a bit frustrated, he always changes our oil. He is mechanically inclined (he owns a metal shop). I told him I would hop on here and see if I had any luck finding out. Might have to break down and take it in.

Thanks!
Tracy
