2014 4Runner

nice rims and nice looking 4R. rims gives the effect of no centers, which i like.

those rims would never work for me up herel. not easy to get snow out of them when it gets packed in, but down south they work great.

yeah i look at rims differently. 1st priority is how hard is it to knock packed snow out of the rims. driving down the highway with packed snow jars the fillings pretty bad at times.

Too true! I haven't seen more than 3" of snow down here since we moved here back in 19 hundred and 89. I honestly can't say I miss it either.

Picked her up with less than 2 miles on the clock yesterday. And she got two compliments before I even left the dealer.

5th Gen Features/Functions Roadmap

Planning our third 4Runner ('03/'07/'15), have explored the '14 model in depth. My only disappointments:

* Toyota eliminated the locking fuel filler door.
* No heated steering wheel on the Limited.

Now, my personal feelings about the change in oil filter location aside (and Thank You again, Antman, for the excellent tutorial), has anyone heard about Toyota offering a Heated Steering Wheel on the 4Runner in the future?

The "retrofit heated steering wheel" thread ended abruptly, so I gather that didn't pan out.

Thanks for the thoughts.

I can think of about a 1000 things more important than a heated steering wheel. :noidea:

What kind of discount are '14 buyers receiving on ordered 4Rs?

Edit: It appears some dealers are inclined to honor the USAA car buying discount if the 4R is on the in-stock, but not inclined to discount the full amount if ordered or if they have to dealer trade.

Thanks to all of you that have been contributed to this forum. I've been lurking for a few months and finally pulled the trigger on a Black 2014 LE, w/ 3rd row and power running boards. Does anyone know if there are any mud guards/mud flaps that won't require me to move the power running boards? From one of the other threads, it seems as though the running boards have to be moved to fit the OEM mud guards?

Thanks again for all the great info!

Not that anyone knows of. They need to be moved if you want front mudguards.

Have looked at Huskyliner or Weathertech flaps? You may have to run a "universal" style flap that is more flat to be able to work with the boards.

Thanks, I'll take a look. Does anyone know if moving the power running boards avoids the warranty in any way? Thanks again.
