Congrats on your purchase! I love my Limited but was torn as I also like the Trail a LOT! Mine is mostly pavement so I went with the less serious off-road mods. Once you get started you will find it addicting. You can go mild to wild but I chose mild. Best simple thing for the interior was converting all lights to LED. Looks and function great for around $100.00. I also rigged a EDC (everyday carry) bag with simple spare stuff like reading glasses, chapstick, etc. I like the 20" rims but hate the fact they are only 7" wide. I still fit some beefier tires on it and what a change. Wifey couldn't understand why I took off brand new tires but she like the truck now. I also went with 2.5" lift by adding spacers and are putting some Spidertrax 1.25 spacers tonight to give it a little wider stance. I didn't even bother trying to explain why to Wifey.

2014 eTune

Just picked up a 2014 SR5 Premium. Don't know about previous versions of etunes, but it sure worked well. Pairing was easy and all functions worked fine (as long as you remember all of your passwords......dah  ).

That being said, I've still got a lot to learn.

SR5 Premium VS Limited

Hi Everyone!
I'm new here and will be upgrading and buying new SR5 or Limited. Can anyone provide details if buying SR5 premium is it worth to just go to limited. Are XREAS reliable long term compared to SR5 shocks. If any owner of Redwood Limited interior can provide feedback. Thank you all in advance.

Plan on offroading/getting dirty? Or street only?

I got the SR5 premium, the limited looked to nice to offroad :D

The other big diff is part time 4wd on the sr5 vs all wheel drive on the limited. So again it seems like for lots of street driving in rain and snow the limited might be nicer.

Of course the limited is MORE EXPENSIVE. :)

At first glance, not a big fan. However, the 2014 has grown to be a big boy. Agree, wimpy stock tires/wheels for the SR5 and Trail----that can be rectified for a few dollars. The stance is tough and the front is solid. Interior is great with the exception of the dash. Entune is awesome. 2nd 4Runner in the household....first being a 2007 was rock solid until someone ran the red light and totalled it. Glad Toyota is sticking with the frame when others went soft. Toyota's reliability is far greater than any Ford and Chevy product!

I second that noise at idle (lower pitched deeper thump but otherwise almost diesel-esque). If it's not a word then I declare the rights to it.

Best decribed! Thanks Jad.
Its a good noise then. I mean just inherent with this great-reliable Toyota 4.0 V6 engines.

Could you please post front and side view pictures? I would love to see the difference! Im in the same dilema wiht my LTD. I love the side view but the skinny tires from the front/rear view are fugly. Im also thinking of wider tires. what size did you install(275s?)

Someone who owns a 2014, please correct me if I am wrong.

I can't seem to see the audio/headunit/volume controls on the steering wheel of the 2014 in the pictures. I see the bluetooth for phone pickup on the right, the cruise control on right side, and on left is the dashboard selector controls.

Stereo/audio/volume/track/etc controls?
Am I missing something?

Cheers

well finally it was warm enough to get it cleaned up and add the sticker. kicking myself for not making sure it was level putting it on.

anyway ...

edit : before people complain, the hitch is about 7yrs old so don't mind the rust. and its upside down to use as a step in the winter time to clean snow off the rear roof. just need to get the wardens Tacoma in a nice park and take pics of both and she has the other plate "XQQSME"

.

The limited is awd and 4wd, high and low. It does not have the rear locker.

well technically its not awd. awd does not have a low gear.

its Full Time 4wd (Hi) with the ability to go into (Low).

the SR5/TE have part time 4wd. 2wd with a the ability to do 4wd Hi and Low.
