Got reservations made at the ridgway for the weekend. I have a couple of quick questions. Are all of the people from Denver area going to meet up, and go down together? I am getting the recommended items together for the trip. Any suggestions for trails would be appreciated. Oh, and I'm taking the 2005 Sport edition with Toytec lift. :cowboy:

The Denver/ Boulder FJ group does a caravan on Wednesday mornings. I am sure they would welcome you if you wanted to join them.
I will be going on Tuesday. I plan on running Black Bear, trail clean up and a non sanctioned trail or two (Red Mountain mining district and ???).
I will also be in a 2005 Sport, Salsa Red. Staying at KOA camp site #55.

It would be nice to know who from T4R.org is going to the FJ Summit and what trails they will be running.
I will be running Black Bear on Thursday, Trail Work on Friday and Poughkeepsie Gulch Saturday. Wednesday I am planning to hit the Red Mountain Mining district.
I will be staying at the KOA again this year, spot #55.

Registration is in!! I cannot believe it filled up in less than one day! That's awesome! Anyway, we are leaving from Denver and heading down on the 15th. Who else is heading down on the 15th?
Here's our list of trails.
Thursday- California Pass/Corkscrew Gulch. 8:10 departure time.
Friday- Alpine Loop-including Engineer and Cinnamon Passes. 8:00 departure.
Saturday- Imogene Pass to Ophir Pass. 7:20 departure time.

I will be leaving Colorado Springs on the 15th around 5 or 6 AM
I have not decided on the route yet. I may take something Southern just to see more of Colorado on my way

Still trying to figure out if its possible for me. Its looking better and better as time passes. Hoping to get armored beforehand. Think Id have issues without anything under my belly?

Don't forget she has been there before. Registration is full, but it's an open event. You can still come you just don't get a divers bag or meal tickets.
I hope you do end up making it, this may be our last year going. Next summer we are going to try to do our Greenland trek.

Some how I missed this thread earlier. I'm booked at Twin Peaks and I'm pumped for the trip! It will be time #2 for me. I'm hoping to add some lower link armor, new tires and do the Satoshi grill mod with a light bar before the summit, but time is ticking!

I'll be heading down with my gal and rig. I'm not officially signed up since registration is full, but I plan on checking out some of the trails/meetups regardless.

It's a beautiful area, and one I'd recommend visiting, but it's frowned upon to show up unregistered. The event coordinators put a lot of effort into it, and have a difficult time getting permits for such an already large number of vehicles. The event registration is closed (sold out in less than 12 hours), and there is a wait list for those that didn't make it. There is talk of others gathering and hitting other trails in the vicinity though.
It is an open event, so you can come without refers ting, but you will not have meal passes for the caters dinners, you won't get the drivers bags, and you cannot register for trails. But everything else (event hangout, vendor shopping, raffle and everything else is open.
