2014+ Limited Runner's - noticed something

It was a tough call for me. If the LE had KDSS, I'd have an LE. If my wife were buying one - I think she'd buy an LE. There are certainly times I wish I had gone that way. IMO they are nicer in some respects than our RX350. I think she would be willing to trade the RX for one if we didn't have my 4runner.
 
In my area, lots of women drive huge pick-up trucks because they "rodeo", haul hay, bags of feed, etc.

I don't really see them in 4Runners. A woman at work who owns an FJ Cruiser stopped me to tell me that my 4Runner was nice. When I told her it was a Trail and asked her about her FJ, she looked confused and told me that she's never been off-road with hers.

Going from a 4Runner, to a car, back to a 4Runner, I can definitely say that I feel far safer on a crowded freeway when I have that extra height and can see what's ahead.

One of my girl friends has a 2015 limited. It is a very nice truck, and I heartily enjoy 'passengering' in it.

I have a beard.

I have a guy friend with a 2015 TEP. No beard though...

That's why you mod your 4Runner! I never see chicks drive lifted 4Runners, clean and shiny lifted JKs, yes, but modded T4Rs I never.

It's a 50/50 sex ratio that I've noticed around here in 98% stock trucks. Mostly folks 35+ y/o drive 4Runners. I was called to attend an event testing out upcoming SUV/Crossovers but once they found out I didn't fit the "demographics" during the pre-screening I was disqualified because I am under 30 years old.

Anyway I plan to give the GF my 4Runner when I eventually hop back into a sports car, M4 6-speed. I'm sick of driving a slushbox already.
 
If I could put the limited interior in my SR5 I would in a heartbeat! The exterior though I just can't handle. All that chrome scream estrogen:lol:

As a Limited-owner, I reject the premise as purely anecdotal.

That said, if we're talkin' anecdotes:

- my dealer said every Limited they sold was to a guy
- every girl I know has commented on how "manly"/ "masculine" /"muscular" and "big" my 4Runner is
- once in a while I let my wife drive my manly Limited
- I have a 'stache and goatee so almost a full beard
- screw the comforts, it's for the full-time 4wheel drive, honest
- although I frequent the mall, it's always for hardware and power tools
- maybe I protest too much, but I am secure in my manhood and even my therapist says so. :lightsaber:

I don't even bother trying to explain the 4WD on my Trail to my wife. Pointless. Sure as I am alive she would leave it in 4Hi on dry pavement. Hell a male engineer at work thought it was ok to leave his Tacoma in 4Hi, I had to explain it to him (after I did a google search make sure it didn't have Torsens).

The Torsens on the Limited are the way to go for people who don't want to know, just use it.

Geez I hope not, but maybe that's why people are always telling me to go **** myself?

But enough about me, the Limited is "all man", and whatever bits aren't can be fixed with a can of black plastidip.....
 
First post, Hi All!

Just joined the forum recently because my wife and I picked up a 2015 limited for her. She went to the dealer wanting a Highlander, I wanted a Tacoma and we ended up with a 4Runner Limited. I tried to push her to get the Trail or SR5 but she was set on the Limited, which I am fine with.

lol in my church parking lot i saw 3 other blizzard pearl ltds... of course mine was the only one with plasti dip on it. i'm in denial...my car has become the next range rover/x5 of south charlotte.
