This is our 3rd year to sponsor the Jambo and will of course be there.
We will be leaving west Fort Worth at 8AM Thursday morning, swinging around 820 to I-20 and headed east. I'll be on Channel 19 and driving my Iceberg FJ with the matching trailer and OD Green top/cover so I'll be easy to spot. Feel free to join in and caravan if you are headed that way.

Tengu and I will be caravaning up there thursday around noon. Hopefully to get there in time for some late evening wheeling!

I have been swamped with a 3.4 & 4.3 swaps and my 95 isn't ready. So I am behind and leaving Friday afternoon instead of thursday, bringing a stock 86 to play in.
I hope we have some great weather ! I can't wait to hit the mountain for some relaxing wheeling and check out the rigs !!

Me and a buddy will be heading out there sometime on Friday. My TE will be staying behind but we'll be taking his 95 land cruiser. Looking forward to meeting up.

I drove up Thursday night and stayed through Saturday's photo shoot. I didn't know about the raffle not happening until last night so I missed that. Great fun, pleasant weather, and I intend to go again next year. This was my first Jamboree so I will be better prepared next year. I had the ONLY 2014 4R up there until late yesterday morning, and I was really pleasantly surprised at how trail capable it was. I intended to do the easy trails on Friday and if my confidence went up maybe try some moderate stuff on Saturday. Little did I know as we did their first ever Night Fun Run Thursday night and I was thrown to the wolves with some moderate stuff during that drive! I lightly dinged my Nfab step bars a couple times, but not enough to hurt anything. This is my first off roading since the early 80's, and we went down trails I would have seriously thought twice about with my 78 CJ-5 back then.

Yours wasn't the only 14 T4R. I got there Thursday night in my 14 UnLimited. You probably didn't see it if you were not on the trails much. I REALLY put mine through the paces and it was awesome! I took a bunch of FJ guys on runs and they came back impressed.

Wow! Sorry I missed you. We made the Thursday night fun run, 2 group runs and a solo on Friday, and 2 solo runs on Saturday (groups were full when we went to sign up). I thought I was really looking hard for the new front ends, but I flat missed you completely. I did run into another 2014 Trail guy Saturday. He still had temporary plates from Virginia on his and had just moved to the Dallas area IIRC. I'll admit I tried to stay on the milder trails. I haven't been off road in decades, and frankly I didn't want to tear up my new toy and daily driver on my first outing. We did get into some interesting level 3 trails and I did have more fun than I was expecting. This could get addictive. :biggrin1:
