2014. no RSCA off button

Coming from a 2010 FJ Cruiser TT and wheeling with groups at Summit(s), Lonestar Jamboree(s), Wheeltoberfest(s), etc. I have never heard of anyone setting off side airbags in an FJ. I never used my switch in numerous tippy, 2 and 3 wheel situations. Albeit, these are all low speed situations. I was assisting at a rollover recovery and we discussed the fact that even then his airbags did not deploy and we figured they should have then.

no 2014 toyotas have the switch anymore. i went to 3 lots and checked: FJ, Sequoia, Tacoma, Tundra, 4runner, none have them.
after weeks of attempting to get some sort of response from toyota, i finally got a call from corporate. it appears that ALL the brochures and digital collateral for 2014 had typos in them. the switch is NO LONGER available, and now toyota claims the switch is no longer needed due to updated due to an updated logic system within the airbag system. supposedly they claim the new system has better detection for potential roll and angles and the side curtain will NOT deploy unless "really needed". i have asked for all of this in writing and am awaiting a response.

Maybe they fixed the stupid air bag so it wouldn't go off unless you actually rolled over.

Guess they know what they are doing but I've had mine pretty much sideways sitting on the sliders so hopefully whatever update they did accounts for silly drivers like me.
