2014 Tail Lamps ***update***

Thanks for the try-out! Hah looks crazy side-by-side. I agree as mentioned, by itself it looks cool but alongside the old style it does appear a bit on the cheap side.

While I would love to know if they were totally compatible at the very least we know they fit.

in the meantime I would buy some TRAIL tail lamps if anyone has a pair to sell

I personally like the way it looks. I like the fact that the '14 version has alot less red. However, I think this tail lamp would look best on a white or silver
4Runner. My wife on the other hand does not like it at all. She said that it's too "busy" looking for her. I am 99.9% sure that with the $20.00 sub- harness it will work on our trucks. I may visit this option again in the future, but for now I'm gonna return the lamp.

edit: if anyone is in the Richmond VA area and wants to test some 14 lights in there truck let me know. i should be able to swipe a light from my moms 14 trail one morning to test fit

PM me, too. Thanks for trying. I do like the way they look, you're wife is spot on, they do look busy, but when they light up, thats where I think they come in to their own. Hopefully we are down, but, not out and someone else takes the ball and keeps running with this and the wiring harness.

I kinda like the old ones better... I'm glad you posted the side by side. It makes the 2014s look like some eBay cheapo aftermarket lights to me. I know that they aren't... but that's just what they remind me of. Keep it classy!

My thoughts exactly. I think I'll keep my "old" ones.
