Sad to hear.

No clue why you say that. I'm willing to help dig someone out with a shovel but I won't put people at risk. Recoveries with experienced people and the proper equipment are easily the most dangerous thing we do off road. Doing it with inexperienced people who don't have recovery points just magnifies that risk.

have to agree. in winter time if you help someone and you damage the vehicle, it doesnt take much for them to turn around and sue you for damages.

even if they have a proper recovery point, i still let the owner attach the tow strap/recovery strap to the vehicle to put liability on the owner to know where to attach it since i dont know where the proper attach points are.

i hardly yank people out of snow drifts anymore due to the fact i see alot more damage being done and people suing for body damage.

i dont mind helping to dig out or push, but i rarely pull people out anymore due to the above.

Me? If there is somebody in need I try to help as best as possible. I even carry an extra D Ring just for that purpose. Recent case in point:

Hey....i have finalized... i am gonna buy 2014 4runner Trail Premium with KDSS along with the rolling cargo tray.. The color i am fixated on is the Barcelona Red..i have contacted the local dealers they don't have trail premium it seems Toyota have not launched that variant in Mid West because nobody in Indiana, Kentucky Ohio is having Trail Premium. All our saying i will have to pre order it. Will be calling the dealers now to strike a good enough deal.

I'd negotiate the price on the car before telling them the model that you want because if they know you want a trim that that is difficult to locate they may give you less of a discount. Call the internet dept and say something like 'Hi, I want to purchase a 4runner. It'll be a Trail or Limited, not sure yet but I'm sure I want to buy a 4r this week. Can you do 12% off MSRP?" ("or $2000 under invoice") ...depending how you want to negotiate. Don't even mention color because red is rare. Give them illusion of an easy sale.

Once price is agreed to, then hit them with what you want. gl

Do you guys think this is a fair deal, this is everything inclusive except for sales tax and DMV fees. The other catch is this will be a special order built which will be delivered in 90 days :crybaby:...!!!

Great choice!! Can't wait to see your Barcelona Red. I am in LOOOOVE with mine. I know the first scratch is really going to hit me hard. When mine was delivered to us, there were swirly light scratches in perfect Barcelona Red when the sunlight hit side of truck perfectly. Luckily they came right out (I don't know exactly what the dealer did...) but I can still see other areas that are swirly. Be aware. If I had it to do over with my BR, I would of watched them prep it.
Considering you got the biggest baddest 4R for under 39k (before TT&L), I think you have a great deal. My SR5 was 33k+, 37100 OTD. I am happy, that is all counts.

Are you going to ask the same exact question in four different threads? Nothing personal but it's hard enough to answer the same question from 50 different people, much less the same question from the same person four times in four different places.
It would be nice if there were thousands of guys willing to donate their time and expertise to answer questions. The reality is there are about 30 guys who answer questions. Many of the new members come here to ask questions and won't search or read the stickies. A few come here to answer or refer them to answers.

It would be nice if there were thousands of guys willing to donate their time and expertise to answer questions. The reality is there are about 30 guys who answer questions. Many of the new members come here to ask questions and won't search or read the stickies. A few come here to answer or refer them to answers.

My ride drove in on March 2014, after that this is what has been done :

1. High Performance Supreme 30% Tint from Cincinnati, Ohio
2. Icon 2.5 Inch Remote Reservoirs Suspension Lift
3. Budbulit Beefy Rock Sliders

Next in line are the Hankook Dynapro MT's bumping up from Stock to 285/70/R17s. Thanks to amazon received three gyres today ..have to wait for the fourth one till tomorrow. :hurt:....!!!!
