2015 trail noises EDITED
alright I've searched until my fingers have bled over this, I've taken it to the dealer and he gave me a dead end explanation that made me feel like he didn't want to deal with it, I've checked countless times to find the problem but have come up with nothing. i have a 2015 trail edition a few weeks after i got it (possibly had it when i got the car) it started making a loose change metallic jingling sound over any small bumps, rough rode, pot hole, etc. i do have a lift kit but the sound was there before i had it installed. it hasn't gotten worse or better but it does stop completely when I've been out wheeling and gone through thick mud that gets all in my suspension, but me being OCD about the cleanliness of undercarriage i get all the mud out and it comes the sound comes right back. I'm inclined to believe what my sub par local toyota tech has said which is that it is my "free float braking system" can anybody. it makes a very similar sound when my crawl control is activated. i can only hear it when i have the windows down too. would somebody like to elaborate or give their 2 cents on what it could be?
1ST MYSTERY SOLVED IT WAS INFACT THE C PIN CONNECTING THE SPINDLE TO THE UCA.
2nd noise I've run across is any time i dip into the water like a creek or wash off my underneath side like brakes, CVs, LCAs, UCAs, Coilovers, etc. i get a noise coming from my front end (sounds like a wire brush on my brake caliper) when i drive. it dosent happen often and seems to go away as soon as it dries. Im thinking its the brake pads rubbing the caliper with dirt and such in it. anybody have anything to say about that while we are on the topic of noises
