2016 4runner Changes

Which model are looking for
I got a 2016 limited for the price of a 2015

Either SR5 Premium or Trail Premium. I'm able to get the 2015 at invoice, but since they don't have the 2016 they want to charge MSRP on the 2016 models. If both years are identical in every way I'd save money on the 2015.

Were you able to get the 2016 close to dealer invoice?

I just placed a special order for my 2016 trail premium in classic silver metallic. I expect delivery late January early February. In my region they all come fully loaded and I wanted mine without.

Was going to work today and saw a Limited with those "LED" DRLs. It was placed low on the bumper way below the fog lights. Granted, I only saw this rig for about 3 seconds (oncoming) and looked pretty good (I still havent warmed up to them). Did the factory quietly added them this year or was it aftermarket?

Are you talking about these? The first pic is just LEDs, the second is the LEDs and fogs, and the third is them off. These can on my 4 Runner from the dealer.

Your rig is 100% factory? Wow, those foglight/DRL look sharp!! Anyway, I was referring to those LED strips that many new cars come with.

Here you go you can get them at Fog Light Upgrade Kit, LED - Tundra/4Runner (2014+) - TRDShop.com

Just curious ... how do you determine "dealer invoice"?

From looking at the pics and the description of the product for sale, it appears that this new LED fog light system from Toyota changes your DRL lights from the Hi-beam lamp (at a lower voltage) to the fog lamp (outer ring of LEDs).

Is that right?

It's definitely entertaining to go back and read the history in the post. So many outrageous speculations.

Taking delivery this week::clap2:
2016 T4R TEP in Super White with KDSS
Final price was $38,914 before taxes title and fees.
Had to go to Arizona to find a white one, so we are adding an extra $425 delivery fee. There were none in all of southern california last week, and when one would show up it was either already sold. A couple times I got qouted above MSRP on the TEP... :mmph: The wife wanted white... and I'm ok with that.
This will definitely be a big change for us from our 05 T4R that was rwd. :dancin:

As for the future, my guess is that Toyota will stretch the minor face lift out through 2017. So 2018 will probably be the big revamp. My bet (sad face) is that toyota will probably switch it off of the truck frame and use the 3.5l direct injection tacoma motor. But who knows, at that point it would essentially be a highlander.

Yes, 100% factory.

I've never seen those.

They are by Toyota?

They came on my 4Runner from Toyota, they were even an option as I was shopping around and building my 4Runner on the Toyota website. I was able to screenshot it from the Toyota site, the 2 in 1 LED projector fog lights w/LED driving running lights.

I am pretty sure those are all port installed options, that is why you didn't see them on the Toyota website.
