2017 4Runner Colors (Let's speculate...)

Personally I'd rather have a better engine/V8 than color :(
But color is nice I guess....

So will the new 4Runner be out in 2k17 or 18, That my friends is the real question !

I'll give Toyota credit to date. IMO, there hasn't been any 5th gen color that's been a stinker.

Perhaps some hope for the FJ's trails team blue? I really liked this color too.

I think a 4R would be great in this color, and I don't really like blue vehicles. I only ever had one - a Land Rover D90 in Arles Blue which is a similar color. I put 140K miles (some of them pretty hard) on that truck with very little issue. I still miss that thing.

I had to do an image search, the D90 looks fantastic in this color!

Edit: I'll add that the D90 was my dream car in my younger days....I've been waiting for the redesign that is supposed to come to the US market pretty much every year.....and then I gave up and bought a 4Runner, which I'm loving so far.

Same here, then I visited a dealer for one of the few last 95 ones, and they flat out told me the reliability was so bad I would not be happy. Then I noticed lots of problems, no traction aids, poor protection of key parts, weak components, water intake system for an air cleaner, ergonomics were insane.....Good looker, but not practical.

I wouldn't expect any changes color or otherwise for 2017. I expect that 2018 will receive some different color options.

I think this summarizes the Land Rover situation accurately...if I bought an older D90 (not that finding an affordable one in that is in decent shape is possible) it would be with my heart and not my mind mind and with the understanding that I'll have days where I'll probably want to bang my head against the wall:ybrick:

I'm hoping that the future D90 (I'll probably actually be 90 years old by the time it comes out) is reliable and modern enough to make me happy....modern, but hopefully it still retains the rugged D90 look to some degree.

....on the other hand a decent FJ40 can be had at a reasonable price and would make me happy too.

Well, look at the color options year by year across the Gen 5 and you will see that little changes.. if anything. The TRD Pro is where you get the cool colors while the rest of the lineup get's White, Grey, Blue, Red, Silver, Black..

I wasn't one who didn't believe! PLEASE share your info, in a PM if nothing else!

I want to see a T4R in Cement, in person. I really like that color for some reason. I've been thinking of buying a Tundra lately (don't worry, the 4Runners aren't going anywhere) and may wait for the 2017 model year to get that color. Hell, I may even trade my 2014 4Runner in for a 4Runner in Cement as well. Quicksand is my second choice followed by white.

Ford actually had one of my all time favorite colors on the Raptor. They nailed it with the Terrain color. Not too tan or grey, not too dark or light. Perfect for the environment I live in (would look clean forever).

With the 2016 colors, my favorites are the Red & Gray. If that changes for 2017 I'll have to re-obsess over what to get. haha! I was going to get silver, but I love a shiny car that pops, and I don't think I'll be happy with silver. It looks like the Tacoma has a darker silver, that might work! I love that blue the Tacoma comes in! I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

Know what’s funny? I swore as an adult I would NEVER buy a black car for myself... I live in TX (hello 100+ summers), I try hard to take care of my cars with washing/waxing/staying on top of scratches, etc. (read: IMPOSSIBLE with a black car), and frankly, it’s just kind of boring color in general. YET... I find myself liking my Attitude Black TEP. It’s a mean looking color when it’s cleaned up... but it looks good all dirtied up as well. Never thought I’d say that. The heat part sucks... but when it’s 105 outside, any car is freegin’ hot.

If I could have any color, it’s prob be the blue. I love deep blues. But we just bought my wife the deep blue QX60... sooooo, that’s not gonna happen. When the black TEP goes, if I get another T4R (which is highly probable), I will prob go dark grey again (with all black accents). Grey just hides everything well, but still looks good both dirty & clean. Easy to maintain.

I feel the same way about black.. that's why I went Super White. I think they look really good when maintained but yet not too glossy. It was a toss up between SW and MGM for me.

If the TRDP orange had been an option it would have been that hands down though.. but I wanted a sunroof.
