2017 4Runner Colors (Let's speculate...)

That Shoreline blue is the kind of blue I would have gotten had it been available. I don't like the dark blue that's in production. Reminds me of those Catholic school uniforms I had to wear as a kid.

3. Shoreline Blue (LOVE this color. Wish they would have kept it.)

if memory serves, that's SeattleMike's photo, taken at delivery of his TE. pretty cool to see it surface again. RIP, Mike.

Easy now! LOL. Nautical Blue owner here. It really is an awesome color in person. I get a lot of comments on it.

You're right on Shoreline though. I was initially looking at 10-13' Trails and wanted a Shoreline Blue. Nowhere to be found. I would have chosen it #1 too. If they ever made a Heritage Blue I'd have to flip a coin. But I don't see that one ever happening.

Not so much a speculation as a want....

Thunder Cloud Metallic

Also a blue similar to those Knight-Errant posted would be nice.
I realize that it will never happen....but I think Ford's grabber blue would be awesome. Or close to the blue like the FJ40 below...

(Alas, if I were to buy new I'd still probably get black.)

This looks like my 2004, I think mine was called Pacific Blue, I would buy it again! With the choices they have right now I'd get silver. I would love another blue but the Nautical is just too dark for me. It's beautiful in the sunlight though!

Kinda partial but, The Shoreline Blue Pearl was a fine color!! They should have kept it, but judging by how many you don't see on T4R.org, it wasn't popular. And what about "Cement"?? Don't recall seeing that one around town. Googled pictures, it looks baby blue.....depends on what color ambient light is I guess. No offense meant towards concrete workers tho.

i think you don't see many because Toyota produced so few in Shoreline Blue, not because it wasn't popular. same goes for Salsa Red.

If they brought back Salsa Red I'd buy that in a heartbeat! It's really pretty, and not quite as bold as the Barcelona. I don't think my personality type can pull off the Barcelona. ;-)

Just got confirmation from Toyota that there are no color changes besides the cement on the TRD PRO.

Bummer. A dealer on Facebook posted that they are taking orders in October and they will start showing up on the lot in November. Hopefully that means that soon they'll at least release what the changes are (if any) for the 2017 model.

No changes (other than the Trail being renamed) and still no indication that they'll be out before January.

They'll probably throw in some former options as standard, I've never seen a car model change without some sort of bonus. I'm in no hurry, so I can wait to see!

So glad I opted to jump in on the Super White TEP then.. I figured they would not mix up the normal color palette. Just look at the color lineup since 2010. Other than Shoreline blue the colors have remained the same with slight changes here and there.

Red
Blue
White
Silver
Grey
Black

They sure are adventurous with colors on the non-TRDP models. :pimp:

So it'll be a 2016 with a 2017 stamp on it? 100% the same, zero changes whatsoever? That's pretty lame. And you know this how?

because it's not rocket science... it's a midsize, BOF SUV that is setting sales records for Toyota, which has no competition in the segment (2nd Gen Tacoma anyone?). Altering the design in any significant way would be, what's the word, stupid. Yup, that's the word... some colors may change and they renamed the Trail the TRD Offroad but those are not technical changes in my eyes, those are marketing gimmicks...

Back to the thread title...

i'm holding out for a green 4Runner, if not available I'll go with cement if I can't afford a LC200 when it's time to pull the trigger spring 2017...

Because I work at a Toyota dealership and Toyota sends us the specs. It's really not unheard of for a vehicle to not change from year to year.

So what are the specs for the 2017, have they already sent them to you? My local dealer has nothing, or they haven't sent them to me at least!

If I buy a 2016, and find they throw something in on the 2017 that I would have liked, I'd be REALLY upset. :-/ Waiting sucks, but so does buyer's remorse. ;-)
