2017 4runner (no 6th gen)

On the 4Runner there's just too much of the color. On the FJC it was broken up and looked much better. Honestly, it just looks bad on the 4Runner. FWIW

I am a fan of the color, but I agree that it needs to be broken up in a two-tone paint scheme. Maybe an idea for Toyota to take to the drawing board.

That was my big deciding factor between going attitude black vs inferno. I think all black and you lose the lines of the vehicle, panels, undercarriage. Whereas the contrast with the Inferno, or even white, makes the vehicle look more aggressive. This just looks too gray/blue/robbin's egg.

I like the color, but way more on the FJC since the TT models looked great without that horrible white top. On the 4Runner? nah, not so much.

All this does is make me realize how much I like Inferno on MY vehicle. I really wanted to like Cement but maybe it looks better in person, because frankly i don't see it working as well as the FJs.

Yeah -- I'd like to see it like that but I like it as is -- for me the color works.

I absolutely agree with you. Owning a black truck not only loses some of the aggressive lines but is also so hard to keep clean. Only difference between black and cement it I would imagine it wouldn't show near as much dirt, salt, debris and scratches as black. I think if the cement color was contrasted by black bumpers, rack etc.. It may not be so dramatic. But let's face it not everyone is going to build a rig like yours. You built an incredible rig.

As far as the two tone idea, I was mentioning it for Toyota to consider for a 6th gen. I'm not saying it needs to be as dramatic as the FJC, but many auto makers are doing things like satin black hoods, and black accents on the A pillars and so on.

It's the best front end of the bunch. The 5th Gen headlights are cool though.

I wonder if it gets the new FOX/TRD suspension like the Tacoma.

I've been wondering this too...

1) why would toyota move away from Bilstein?...
and
2) if the 2017 4Runner TRDP get's the same FOX/TRD combo, will it retain the infamous TRD Pro cold weather clunk? (if not, maybe that's the answer to #1... bilstein couldn't figure out the internal valving to eliminate this design flaw fast enough)

That's true. One consumer won't have an impact but what if someone photoshoped a great looking 6 gen 4runner with a Tacoma front end and it attracts a lot of interest. I'm sure then it would get the attention of these Toyota designers. We all can dream can't we?

I love this! I've always loved the timberland mica Tacoma. I'd be driving one if they had that color for the 4Runner

I don't hate the current front fascia, but I do think this would be an improvement regardless.

As much as I've loved the cement color on my FJ, I'm definitely okay with the idea that I could have waited and had it in the 4Runner but chose instead to continue with the purchase of my quicksand 4Runner. I spent a few restless minutes wondering if I would live to regret not holding out to see if Toyota offered the 4Runner in cement gray : ... but as good as cement looks on the pro, I'm happy with the change and love the quicksand :thumb3:.

As long as they don't take the Foretuner route in the upcoming design it shouldn't end up looking too bad.

I think the current front fascia still looks better. It just looks more aggressive and fitting.
