2017 Cement TRD Pro Build Thread

Haha, thanks! Have a list of things that I've collected while waiting for the arrival. Want to get the fog lights done now that I feel confident about the HID kit install.

1. How hard was it?
2. How long did it take?
3. Are the fog's just a bulb swap to LED or is it an HID kit as well?
4. Did the kit come with instructions?

Thank you!

1. Not that hard, just need the right drill bit to tap the hole in the dust cover.
2. Probably took me 45 min total
3. There are different kits for the fogs, not sure what I am going to do. Probably do LED.
4. Yes, not super detailed but there are a few install videos/step by steps that help.

Nice! Definitely need to do this. I can't stand the Halogen lights. Even my 2004 S2000 has HID's.

Canvasback cargo liner system installed. Good quality product and can customize to your needs.

Canvasback looks better than the product pictures. I think you may have sold me on it. Nice [emoji106]

I have a question. Why did you decide to fly out to Texas and drive the 4runner back to CA? Couldn't the dealer ship it to your residence?
I'm asking you because I just bought one and waiting for the dealer to ship the vehicle to my house. (Texas to Los Angeles)
How long was the drive? 2-3 days?
Thanks and your car is beautiful...can't wait for mine.

I did it because I found a good dealer who knew about the TRD Pro and was willing to work with me on a reasonable price. They even cut my airfare off MSRP. I also knew that Texas would get some of their first shipments. So I preordered in July when I saw the cement.

I drove with my girlfriend and we just did the whole thing straight. Took us 24 hours. Otherwise it's a 2 day drive. Shipping isn't a bad option.

wow. nice. I wanted to drive from Texas to LA but I just got lazy. =)
I got mine at MSRP. but there were tons of options. I didn't want to get that much option but my wife said, "Just f**king get it." haha, so I paid A LOT!
Keep updating your build. Thank you for the quick response.

Subscribing...also do not buy from Precision LED...I didn't get my reverse lights either and one of the rear hatch lights didn't work at all. I have called them a few times...no answer and no response back. So they have lost this customer. YMMV.

I ordered from Precision LED and have had 2 lights go bad in 6 months. I too tried calling, but got no response. I emailed them and got a response the same day. They asked for pictures of the affected lights and they promptly sent out replacements. I'm not happy that I've had to replace 2 lights already, but they did respond via email. You may want to try that route.

Agreed, I just went with them because they had a kit. XenonDepot seems like the way to go.

Congrats on your Pro and great looking color. Love the Cement. If I waited another year for my Pro I would have went with Cement as well. I recently ordered my LED interior/license plate bulbs through Diode Dynamics. I have seen good reviews about their products and you can buy the bulbs you need.

Great thread, basically an efficient shopping list for us with new TRDs. I've done the overlay and am debating the canvasback and LED, so this is very helpful.

I'm down in Long Beach often, if you see a quicksand trd I'll give you a thumbs up from it!

Visit the socal section part of the forum and look forward to seeing ur rig around! I like what you did w the overlays btw lol

Installed full LED cab conversion. Simple, inexpensive, and well worth your time.

HID Kit came in as well. I hope to have that done by the end of the week.

What light color did you decide on (Cool White 8000k or Crystal White 6000k)?

And

What was the part number for the HID kit you ended up going with?
