2017 Cement TRD Pro Build Thread

That looks great! How much did it cost and what state are you in? My Pro will be registered in Texas but I live in New York for school. Do I only have to follow the Texas tinting laws?

Since I went with Ceramic it was $285. Not bad at all for a 1 hour turn around. I am not sure about the tint law, but I would assume that you would need to follow the rules to where it's registered. Especially if you are taking it back there. I live in California and they don't allow tint on the front windows, but it get's too hot and I'll take the risk of a ticket. I had tint on a previous car in CA, as long as you don't have limo tint they are pretty relaxed.

Barry Templin at Toyota of Ft. Worth. Was super nice and easy to work with. Might be hard for them to get another Pro. He'll do his best and will be super honest with you.

Thanks man, I will give him a shout.

Just placed my order for Fox 2.5 coilover w/ DSC lift, SPC UCAs, Superflex rear coils, and ARB diff breather kit. Should be here next week and install in about 2 weeks. Will post pics when installed.

Rear springs and UCAs came in! Waiting on the Fox box, then it's install time!

Let us know how you like the ride. Granted I am a complete newb about aftermarket suspensions for 4Runners at this point, but I was reading something about a guy that put on an ICON set and was very happy with the digressive nature of them. Pretty stiff for highway driving, almost felt like a sports car and yet didn't sacrifice anything for off road use. That sounds pretty interesting to me and am curious if these have a similar feel.

I am pretty new to the aftermarket as well. I have had rigs before that were already done. I got advice from other members and did a lot of research. The nice thing about the Fox system is that you can easily adjust the dampening for high and low speeds. You can set it up to be softer or more firm with a twist of the dial (no tools). So you can set your ride preferences for what you are using them for. Plus they are completely rebuildable. I will follow up with comments on the ride after the install in about two weeks.

FYI - I got the Phillips 4300k bulb option, which I recommend. You don't need the CANbus option because the Pro doesn't have automatic daytime running lights. You can set it to auto, but you can also have them off. It's not built in so no need for the added wiring and cost.

Highly recommend and here is the link: https://www.xenondepot.com/H11-HID-Kit-Xtreme-HID-p/xt-h11.htm

Is the install pretty easy? Plug and play or is there any leveling/adjusting needed?

The install is pretty easy. Just need a staged drill bit to create the whole in dust cover. There are a bunch of write ups about the process. I didn't need the CANbus system either. Probably took me 40 min to do both lights.

I didn't do any adjustments because I was doing the lift, but I can say that the beam is a little high.

I am currently waiting on my Cement to arrive in June. I'm genuinely curious, why change the suspension that make the pro what it is?

I am fitting larger tires for more clearance which will fit my needs and use. I will be able to sell the existing TRD suspension and make some of my money back.

It looks good, I can't wait to see how different it looks with the suspension set up you ordered!

Great looking rig. I just got my TRD Pro cement and look forward to following your progress

Thanks and congrats! I just got the rest of the suspension in today along with the bug deflector and window visors. The vertical windshield is a bug magnet!!! Wet Okole seat covers are being installed tomorrow.

Will post pics of all the additions as they go on. Stoked to be working with mwray8909 to do the suspension install next week! He has already been a huge help.

Wet Okole seat covers installed yesterday. Really happy with the results.

Let me know how you like the upgraded suspension. I am just going to use the Toytec TRD Pro kit and keep most of the original suspension.
