2017 NFL Playoffs Thread

Yep. The 80's and 90's (well, most of the 90's for you guys) were hard on both of us. At least you had a Super Bowl run in the middle there. That was actually the first Super Bowl I watched from beginning to end.

there were TWO runs. one was utterly forgettable, getting destroyed by the bears with one of the best defenses of all-time. the other was more disappointing, losing a close game to the packers.

on the other hand, the last 16 years have been quite a ride, even with two superbowl losses. the six superbowls they've played in during that span have been exciting, close games. i enjoy close games, even when the pats lose, vs watching blowouts, like the seahawks' demolition of the broncos and the broncos' beatdown of the panthers.

Which is why I said most of the 90's. I feel like that run in '96 was when the organization as a whole started to really turn around. I don't think the Patriots have had a losing season since.

Sorry to any Seahawks fans but that was a great game. I have friends that are Seattle fans that I know are hurting tonight

Definitely stings but it's ok. We got what we deserved. Went cheap, young and inexperienced on our O-line and it came back to bite us in the end.

Yeah I'm not a fan of either Atlanta or Seattle but still I thought something would happen to get Seattle back in it at the end. I'm on pins and needles since Cowboys are on for tomorrow[emoji16]

Oh man Pats spanked Houston. It was pleasing to see Brady getting pressured and sacked and for a minute I thought Texans might have had them. I've never been for the Patriots but they were getting pounded during first half, came in after halftime and dropped the hammer.

Texans fan here....only due to the Oilers bolting to Tennessee! It was a major disaster for Rick Smith and the owner to sign Brock! He was the demise of the team all year and it was no surprise yesterday with his 3 picks! WOW!!!

Wow.. helluva game. I was pulling for the Pack but dang Dallas really went all in. Good for them and their great season.

Go Falcons!

I'm not a fan of theirs in general. I just tend to cheer for any team that hasn't won it all if my team is no longer in it. I do like their team this year and was a big fan of Andre Rison as a kid.

Thoughts on the games? It seems like this is what many thought the playoffs would look like over the past handful of years. Four high-powered offenses and not a whole lot of defense. Can't remember the last time I've seen that.

Should be pretty fun. All of these teams are capable of overcoming big deficits.

Since my eagles are out and will be for the next year also I'm rooting for Atlanta, head coach Dan Quinn played football at Salisbury and has contributed so much to our new stadium. Plus Matty Ice is from Philly

I had my buddy in Vegas place a bet. Parlayed both games with the points and the overs!

Please anyone but the Patriots! Thankfully bama finally went down in the ship.....nobody wants to see the same team always dominant, except the team's fans of course

Agreed. But you're going to get them with any winning streak, no matter what.

One of the only pluses to us with our inevitable (but hopefully no time soon) down streak is thinning the herd back down to the core. We've always had a great core group of Seahawks fans, but it wasn't until the mid-2000's that you saw this new breed of fan who seems to need to show they're a fan in every way shape or form.
