2017 radio randomly reboots in bluetooth.

I have a 2017 that if I am on a bluetooth call, will randomly without warning cause my 4runner head end unit to disconnect from bluetooth and reboot the radio.

Since buying the 4Runner, this has been an issue. I have had 3 different iPhones in that time and it has done it with all of them.

When entune was on my phone, it would also many times cause my phone to not even connect to my head end unit through bluetooth OR USB. Once removing that app and getting a clean restore from my dealer, it has worked OK except for the random reboots.

I have talked to my dealer who can not duplicate the issue, thus they will not do anything unless it is duplicated.

I really hate this radio and I am really close to buying a new head end unit from Crutchfield.

Has anyone else had any issues similar to this?

I think i may be one of the few that had no issues with my entune headunit, which is why i was upset with this latest update that got rid of pandora.
the only time i ever had an issue (although not the same as yours) was when i first bought the 4r. i remember reading somewhere that deleting the profile from HU completely and re-registering your phone helped in some cases, such as mine. since then, haven't had an issue. might be worth a shot.

I have a 2016 TE and yesterday it just started rebooting every 60 seconds when I have bluetooth turned on.

I removed the 4runner from my phone and the phone from my 4runner, shut the car down, rebooted the phone, and re-configured everything from scratch, didn't fix it.

I can use the radio if bluetooth is turned off on my phone. If bluetooth is turned on, it reboots repeatedly. Going to see the dealer later today, but my radio was flashed with new software this summer so that's probably not the problem.
