2018 4 Runner A/C doesn’t come on affer shutting car off and back on.

I got a 2018. Has anybody ever noticed that if you leave your A/C knob on and shut your car off for a short while(getting gas). And when you go turn the car back on. The A/C doesn’t come on even when the knob is on? You have to turn it off and on to get the A/C to turn on. Super weird…

What’s weird is if I shut the A/C knob off everytime I shut the car off. When I go start it, and turn the A/C knob on, it always works. Weirdest crap ever.

New 2019 owner, same thing here. Thought it was a fluke the first time. Always comes back when you toggle it off and on again. Weird, but I guess I can roll with it if it's just yota things?

My 2018 AC continues working when restarting the vehicle.

When arriving home at end of the day typically turn off AC, turn on heat two minutes before arriving home to minimize mildew buildup .

I have an ‘18 SR5 and have never experienced this. What does irk me, though, is that the system defaults to recirc mode.

And it doesn't happen every time. :/
