2018 NFL Playoffs

No one is giving the Eagles a chance and they are thriving on the underdog mentality. I'll admit, when Wentz went down I was devastated, but I think Foles can get it done. Next to Brady, he's got the most experience in the Playoffs out of the QBs left. Will be a LOW scoring game.

Oh and how does a guy pass concussion protocol when he is knocked out cold? I think there should be an investigation into that process, because there should be NO WAY a guy who is knocked out cold be allowed to play the next game. But whatever, at least there will be no excuses like the Dallas fans this year.

Foles just needs to manage the game. I didn't think the Eagles would beat the Falcons because the defense looked suspect down the regular season stretched. Thankfully, I'm eating crow as the defense stepped up big time. Cox and Jenkins have to duplicate last week's effort to give the Eagles a chance to take a roadie to Minny. Foles has only one more playoff game, experience-wise, than Keenum so that shouldn't be something to rely on. For both, this is there FIRST NFC Championship game. If Dougie P continues to rely on the running game, the Eagles should in good shape. I like your predicted score. Fly Eagles Fly!
 
I like the matchups of both games, on any Sunday comes to mind. NFC looks like it could be a D slugfest, low score, would like to see Eagles get it. AFC going to be interesting, both teams capable of scoring, both D's good. Think (do your job) and situational adjustments will win the game for either team.. Are you ready for some football!!
 
To Eagles & Vikings fans: I hope one of your teams wins because both have long-suffering fan bases & SB heartbreak. As a Saints fan since ‘69, I can attest that a Lombardi in your team’s trophy case makes disappointments, even soul-crushers like the Minneapolis Miracle, much easier to take.
 
I liket that in a day and age where so much of the narrative in the sport talk world is on the importance of a franchise quarterback that you have two teams playing with their backup (or 3rd string even) and one who most will agree is not one. And the other team is rocking a 40yo qb. True, it's Tom Brady but still...

all of the defenses remaining were ranked "top 5", that's the common thread.

as far as brady being 40, so what? he is the presumptive regular-season mvp, so his age has no bearing on the play this weekend, nor on the season as a whole.

i like what bortles has done this year. he still makes mistakes, but he reduced the number of poor decisions he makes overall. much like keenum. play within their abilities, minimize the worst mistakes, give the team a chance. foles hasn't played enough to make a solid read on his situational response, but he does have some history of being capable of a run of good play/decisions.

right, but he's been getting hit all year. that isn't going to change suddenly (in my opinion). i'm sure that every QB feels it after every hit. the recovery during the week probably differs.

i can imagine it at some level; i played d-1 college soccer for one year. a massive difference from high school soccer in terms of physical play.

Never said it would change. Just pointing out that the other team in my assessment has a 40yo qb. And one that impressively at 40 is not just a game-manager like Peyton was in his last Super Bowl, but one that is the very center of the team.

Agree to a point but the best chance for sustainable success is definitely with stability and high-level competence at the QB position.
