2018 tacoma rims on 2003 4runner sport!!!!!!!!NOPE

I can't believe they don't fit? All the reading I did said it was fine. Picked up some brand new takeoff wheels and tires off a 2018 tacoma. Went on fine, no binding. Backed out of the driveway and both front calipers rub bad, like gouged the hell out of the rims. :rant: There goes my good deal. 265/65/17, exact size that was on it.

Do you have a pic of the rims? I've been thinking about Taco wheels so I'm curious which ones you tried to put on.

Those look like they should be the 17" Taco sport wheels. I knew I'd seen a picture of a 4th gen with those and managed to find them here. Both of the pics in that thread look like SR5's though, which have the smaller front brakes. What trim is your 4Runner?

Sport. Only thing I can think of is the calipers are bigger on the sport.

Yes, the sport has larger brakes on the front than the SR5 does. So even though it's a 17" wheel the interior diameter must be smaller than the 4Runner wheels. I have the 5th gen brake upgrade so my calipers are even bigger than that. Bummer man, hope you didn't destroy your calipers.

They are fine. Off to the tire shop to have the tires put on the old ugly bad clear coat rims tomorrow. I paid 500 for the new tires and rims so not too upset. I really like the way the tacoma rims looked on the 4 runner though lol
