TLDR version: I predict a 3.5L with e-torque assist to fill in the torque gaps. So like 300 hp, and 300 torque with a smallish li-ion battery under the passenger side and 23/24 city/highway mpg, with a 4200 lb curb weight with 4wd.
All that complexity for the same mpg...granted mine is stock, but I can easily get 23 on a long trip if I take it easy. I think Toyota might prefer the reliability angle for the T4R, going with proven NA engines rather than new tech
