My 2017 TRD Off-Road got totaled yesterday and I happen to fall on a 2019 PRO with 7k miles, Magnuson SC, and Borla Exhaust just last week for sale locally. All done at dealer at 4k and under warranty. Had no intention of buying it but now the tables have turned. Wants 49k. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

49k for a two year old vehicle isn't what I would do, you're missing out on Carplay, active cruise control, LED lights, etc.

Understand the upgrades but that's their prerogative, clearly the vehicle has been sitting awhile. Finally the Magnuson SC could mean you don't get Toyota's standard 200k-300k mi reliability. That will accelerate the lifetime of the vehicle significantly.

I'd say 44k MAX prior to TTL.

Sounds like an opportunity, maybe you can get another $1000 from insurance and $1000 price change. I'd enjoy the supercharger and exhaust every time I drove. You need to test drive it...

im torn on it or a new trd off-road. yeah, I have not driven it yet but I know ill like it. Thanks for your thoughts.

Some people, don't value those new electronic features as much. The adaptive cruise sounds cool until you have problems with it. I just spent three frustrating week trying to turn of my TPMS light! Gosh!

Was 2019 the last year still using the Bilstein shocks? I think so. Carplay is great for people with unlimited cellular data (most everyone but me). The old shocks are the biggest "con" I suppose. The super charger is worth $6000 plus install and the risk of it not working properly, you probably already know that. Someone else already took the risk of install. Of course an inspection would verify its good to go.

$49 is a lot, time is a buyers best negotiation tool.

2019 Pro has JBL stereo, FJ cruiser rack, and LED headlights?

2019 was year one of the Fox shocks. Halogen headlights. JBL. FJ-style rack.

Agree with others isn’t he thread, get a new pro or a LC200.

I also don’t understand the appeal of a supercharger in a 4r, it’s not like it’s a canyon carver (you will certainly overpower the brakes and steering capabilities), the added HP is useless off road and you’re essentially negating one of the platforms best features, bulletproof reliability.

Disagree with the opinion that $49k is a lot in the current market assuming 2019 is the desired model year.

It isn't really that much if trade-in for a bone stock 2019 Pro is $45k with no effort other than turning over the keys. If buyer wants a Magnuson SC, installing one on a 2020 isn't even an option, so depending on how prospective buyers view the modifications, where someone already mentioned the SC is 6k+ Install, $49k is somewhat of a deal.

Agree. I would subtract money due to the mods, not add it.

I love how people comment on the side effects of a supercharger who don’t have one. Just because you can’t afford one doesn’t mean you should dog on it. Also the added power does not over power the brakes and steering capabilities. It makes the vehicle more enjoyable to drive.

Agreed, I'd also like to see proof that relatability is compromised, not just opinion or conjecture. So the 4runner won't make it to 400k miles, and instead reduced to 200k miles, without a rebuild. Whoopty Doo.

I would pull the trigger on the following and in this order:

1) 46k (not the 49k asking price) for the supercharged 2019 Pro - low miles and does have high dollar extras (if they are the ones you want)

2) New 2020/2021 Pro - Obviously will be new! You will know everything that has been done to it maintenance and otherwise from day one and will have factory upgrades over the 2019 (if that's important to you)

3) Used LC 200 around same price - It's my #3 because they hang onto value and to get one below 50k you would need to go back a few years and add some miles to get to your price point. (Depends if that matters to you)

This is just my thinking in which I would go about the situation, but everyone has different likes and different needs for vehicles.

Good Luck!

I would probably move 3 up to position 1 here. You can find a comparable mile LX570 for the same price. Roughly similar power. But you get a lot of other stuff - like bigger heavier suspension and axles, 6 or 8 speed transmission depending on year, etc.

When I want mine to go faster, I push the accelerator down farther.

I have not seen any empirical evidence of decreased longevity directly in relation to the T4R. How many of them are running around with 200 or 300K already theyvare supercharged? Probably not many. It's kind of a golden rule though that forced induction decreases longevity. Just by how much on a T4R is yet to be determined.

I'd take one, but I wouldn't pay extra for it. I kinda like mine the way it is.

PM me your cell number if you would...I am calling you the next time I need a vehicle! I just looked up used Lexus LX570's and the 2019 models with 10,000 miles (which compares to the year and miles on the 2019 supercharged Pro) is around $75,000-$80,000. I was having to go to 40,000 or more miles and back to 2015-2016 to get me to $50k or below! That may not matter to the OP, but as you can tell from my list, I always stick to the newer vehicles as I like to know how they have been treated in the time prior to me owning it! With that said, not everyone is like that so I see both sides for sure!
