2019 Trd Pro Roof Rack Availability

I'm new to the forum and considering purchasing my 1st 4Runner soon. Here is my first question.

Does the 2019/2020 TRD Pro Roof Rack fit on a 2019/2020 SR5 or TRD Off-Road model, lining up with the same bolt holes (no drilling required)?

It’s plug and play for all 5th gen. Just make sure you get the right install hardware to prevent leaks. I posted the hardware in this thread Incase sellers don’t include the hardware. But even if they did, the washers are one time use. So you’ll need those at bare minimum.

It should fit. I just removed my Pro rack and put on the black rails and there the same holes. Just different bolts are used for the rails than the Pro rack.

I'm taking the rack off my 2020 and giving it to my sister for her 2016 and need to know what hardware I need in order to re-mount it to hers.

I just took mine off. The bolts to your Pro roof rack are the ones for her 16 4runner if she is putting your Pro rack on.Also look at the Pro rack deleted next page by diah0. He has a good detail posted how to remove your Pro rack. Just take your time and don’t rush.

Yeah i've been keeping an eye on that thread. Just wasn't sure if the "nuts" on the inside of her 16' were the same size to accept the bolts from my 20'

One is foam material and other is a hard card board. I believe this will make the install water proof.

Ah damn! Okay thats cool, i'll just check with my dealer. It'll still be a couple more weeks before the SSO rack gets here

Actually the kit i posted is for the fj. Not sure if there’s a kit specific for the 4runner as of yet. But when I compared the bolts and the washers, they looked exactly the same. Only thing with the fj kit is you’ll have extra parts.

When I purchase my rack you can see the original two washers (foam and cardboard) still stuck on some of the rack holes. But some were missing so i scraped them off and applied the new ones.

Yes, it does. I replaced it with the stock rails off a 2018.

Did you use the bolts that were in the truck it does the rack need special bolts for depth?

You just missed it. I saw one in San Leandro for $540 last week. I just looked again on fb and it’s gone. But you can also buy it new for ~$600 + shipping.
