2019 TRD Pro Roof Rack

I now upgraded to the '19 TRD Pro and want to swap out the OEM ark for a Gobi stealth. The stealth fit naturally into pre-existing drilled holes and into the side well of the t4r roof. Does anyone know if the 19s have that same hole/fastener pattern? That way I can go ahead and rock the Gobi. Thanks

Yes, the Gobi rack will fit. They haven't changed anything of significance on the 2019 trucks.

Just picked up my 2019 TRD Pro after saying goodbye to my 2014 FJ. I never had a problem with the look of the rack on the FJ, but on the 4runner I'm torn. Some mornings I think it looks fine. Others it looks like a stubby half-mohawk gone wrong. Still debating on whether to upgrade to the Gobi. As I get older, I'm less inclined to throw kayaks and canoes on top versus towing with a trailer. So I'm balancing aesthetic and utility (fly rod holder, muddy gear, etc.).

For a rack that looks good on the 4Runner and actually holds stuff, I submit the EcoTechne.

The moonroof definitely decreases your options. You can either stick with a 3/4 rack, which there are a few options. Full options with a sunroof are not as many. I was looking at the bajarack and the gobi, ended up going gobi because I found a deal (then the bajarack group buy opened up 2 days later).

The LFD Full rack also works well with a sunroof if you position the crossbars as-needed.

I saw a 2019 Pro in Beaverton, Oregon last Sunday. To each his own, but the rack and the Voodoo Blue both get a thumbs down from me. I'm biased though because I love Cavalry Blue. Cav Blue looks premium or custom to me, and Voodoo Blue looks exactly like a 1995 Ford Explorer my uncle had.

Anyway, just my opinion. The color doesn't detract from the fact it's a great rig. I couldn't bring myself to pony up the extra cash for a Cav Blue and I am very happy with my Barcelona Red.

Take a look at Rhino Rack.

If the 4runner had hair, this rack would be the equivalent to balding.

Totally agree. I saw a Cavalry Blue on a trip to Los Angeles a couple weeks ago and fell in love with it. Would have been my choice for a 2019 if still available. Voodoo blue looks like a giant piece of candy to me. I went with white as my wife has a blacked out SUV already. So “ebony and ivory” for us...

So I'm pretty sure I'm going to swap out my 2019 TRD Pro factory rack. Looking at the Gobi stealth. Not sure I'll ever need a light setup up there but nice to have the option. Was trying to figure out if there's any functional difference between the multi-light and lightbar options from Gobi, and more specifically if the top bar at the front is any higher on either option. Ultimately trying to figure out if anything loaded up there full length (like a canoe when I have someone to help me haul it up there) would sit flat with the cross bars or "tip up" at the front where the lightbar setup is. It looks like the front-most bar is a bit higher than where the crossbars will rest, but could be wrong. Been poking around some other threads to try to figure this out, but if anyone has any thoughts they'd be most appreciated.

Multi light adds two vertical bars in front. Same height overall. You have the choice to have the two additional bars be removable if you like. But the front bar does raise up a bit and is highest point. 6.5 inches on the stealth.

You can order a Gobi rack with the " no rise" option. It brings the front of the rack down to the same hight as the rest.

Not trying to be rude...what is the draw of this rack? I know its opinion. but why not like a 3/4 prinsu or something.
