2019 TRD Pro Tacoma can get a TRD SNORKEL? Can the 4Runner get the same???

If the 4Runner gets one, It would most likely be backwards compatible to 2014 and up...
...theoretically.

If it's a factory option then yeah I don't see why it wouldn't work on all 3rd gens, unless the fender is somehow drastically different or something but who knows at this point.
Hope it's better looking than some of the aftermarket options, especially for a T4R, they are all enormous looking...lol

Completely my keyboard engineering here, but this is my take:
Unless you have a fender and/or A-Pillar that already incorporates the intake (see [MENTION=124732]LawnDart[/MENTION] build thread); they kinda have to be large. Otherwise you introduce a choke point in the intake.

Wow, this definitely caught me by surprise. I know Toyota offers a factory snorkel globally for some of their Land Cruisers. Never thought they would bring this option to a NA model. Especially in a market where probably only 5% of the owners will ever put their trucks into conditions that will actually reap benefits from a snorkel. Looks cool though.

Technically speaking - if you have a snorkel you would use it every time you start your truck.

I do eventually plan on making the 4runner into my "toy" and doing more off road trips. Right now it's just too new and my daily. Although, having factory installed parts that say TRD on there, make me more okay with adding things like this now while I am under warranty.

A safari snorkel doesn’t void your warranty.
You’re still going to have to drill and cut into your fender for a factory snorkel. And there’s not going to be much of a price difference.

That snorkel grill cover is replaceable, and no other press press release of the vehicle shows or mentions a snorkel. Its likely an ARB (safari) with a 3d printed grille. I feel like either way, this ends in disappointment.
outcome A: no snorkel
outcome 2: Snorkel (likely a rebranded safari) and it cost $1150
outcome C: Snorkel and its available for order by vin only (as to not infringe on ARB sales)
Keep in mind, in AU, ARB stuff comes in toyota boxes and is available at the dealer.

I mean yes that is true it wouldn't. I am more liking the fact that it says TRD on it even if it is just a Safari snorkel re-branded. Probably just me being weird though. It does make it an easier sell to my wife if I say I am just adding a factory optional part, she's sort of anti aftermarket due to some negative experiences with my previous vehicles.
