Yeah I think I saw that already. I’d rather it not open all of them on the first pull. There is a legitimate safety feature there. I’d really like a second tap or pull, but can’t satisfy everyone haha

If you are referring to the backup camera, you're absolutely right. My 2009 Audi had a much better backup camera than my 2020. Pretty pathetic.
IDK if it's already been mentioned, but the screen resolution is terrible.
I'll take the crappy screen over a Fiat reliability anytime

Again, the only thing I miss about the Rubicon was the modern tech, maybe a bit of the look-at-me factor, and the wonderful 8sp AT. Though I do like the ORP better overall, I feel like I stepped back about 10 yrs in technology. Toyota should realize they need to do better in this area.
The Limited, Nightshade and Pro have it.Anybody know why Toyota took away the auto climate control function? My '08 base model SR5 had it. My '20 SR5 Premium does not - just manual HVAC controls. Weird.

Grabbing the driver door and it only unlocking the driver door, not any of the others. It allows you to enter without granting access to anyone else who might be a threat. That's a legitimate safety feature, especially for women.
.
My parents just picked up a 20 ......Text alerts about driving behavior, sending driving info to car insurance companies, supposedly in case you want to buy new insurance.
I cant think of anything more invasive then Toyota tracking my movements and selling that data to whomever. My 2 cents = no thanks. .....
Curious how that would actually work in real life. Like, a woman is fleeing an attacker right behind her who conveniently tries to go around to the passenger side door instead of the door she is heading to and is foiled because she only unlocks the drivers door?
My parents just picked up a 20 and the dealership ran thru the Toyota Safety Sense (Nonsense) real quick, activated all the shit. Next thing they know there getting text alerts about speeding on the drive home from the dealer.
When they looked at all the crap the dealer had activated, it was shocking, Text alerts about driving behavior, sending driving info to car insurance companies, supposedly in case you want to buy new insurance.
I cant think of anything more invasive then Toyota tracking my movements and selling that data to whomever. My 2 cents = no thanks. Now resume with the never ending talk about light bulbs.
If you drove a Toyota from 10 years ago, you wouldn't be saying that. Rather you'd be praising how far they've come. It's all about perspective.
Why'd you abandon your Fiat? I was thinking of buying one until I saw all the "new" (for Toyota) tech that was in the 2020s. Then it was a no brainer to get nice creature comforts without giving up what a 4Runner and Toyota are.
Yeah now that you mention this, how do you adjust all that? I was surprised to see that the app was tracking everywhere I went, etc. And that was just the app.
I don’t really want the car collecting all this data on me either, but I’m not sure where all those settings are and how to be more selective on what I turn on and don’t.
You have to call Toyota and opt out of all the connected services. You could also pull the DCM fuse that's under the dash and that kills power to the data connection. Nasty little thing though, if you pull the fuse it also kills power to the microphone used for hands free calling and Siri with CarPlay. I'm beyond pissed about that.
