2020 TRD Pro Updates - Army Green & Push Button Start

Just thought that I would throw in that the 2020 TRD Pro does have auto dual zone ac...

Also, I am sure it isn’t exactly what you are talking about, but you can lower all the windows with the key fob. I think it may have to be programmed by the dealer, someone else more knowledgeable may know better than me. I do know it has the ability though.

Using carista you can program it yourself. Can also remove the seatbelt chimes for the front seats...

The 2020 TRD pro 4runner will get dual zone climate??? Where did u see this?

Confirmed many pages ago, it been in the press images and videos from the FJ Summit.

It bothers me considerably that the temperature for dual-zone is not a round number but instead has a decimal point. Why not just make it 72 and not 72.0

Whoever made that decision needs to be slapped

edit: i realize it's always been like this, but the picture reminded me how much it bothers me.

As mentioned, Auto dual climate is FINALLY coming to the TRDP, but I think the other "basics creature comforts" was just so Toyota can justify selling the Limited. Sucks I know, but as mentioned before, the 4R is a very duty specific vehicle that WILL SELL no matter how much(or little) extra "nannies" they put into the different trims.


And to add the long list of empty info, I too have not heard from my dealer about any updates on ETA or price. I guess I'll just have to start pestering them:director:

EDIT: Just spoke to my dealer and was told their(and probably all of LA) first batch of 2020 OR/Ps and SR5/Ps will arrive in Oct.

I never noticed it until you pointing it out.. yeah that's funny.. as if their control system is calibrated good enough to the tenths of a degree... :suspicious:

Because markets that use metric would have use for 0.5 degree intervals. They want to use the same hardware with different programming to reduce cost.
 
I think it’s crazy we haven’t even seen an image of a 2020 TRDP in Army Green. I keep checking this thread hoping to see a real photo of one. Any idea when we may see a photo?

Maybe i did miss something or just a mis-understanding of 'manuals to brochures'. What I've been looking for is the short brochure that lists all models with included equipment/options in a single / two pages where you can easily see which sub-vehicle model suits your needs / or wants.

If such document doesn't exist yet then fine I can wait for Toyota to update their website. I was just posting for the person who mentioned "Brochure".

I don't believe the brochure has been released, my guess is probably in October when the press release goes out.
 
Spoke with 2 different Northern California dealers today. Both said they can’t take a deposit yet because they haven’t received any allocations yet.

They said to expect a call in October/November to spec the vehicle and leave a deposit.

Dang screens. The TRD Pro....the perceived best offroad and most rugged needs to get away from auto anything, no screens (maybe a dedicated small screen for the ridiculous mandatory rear view camera). Let's get manual AC controls, a regular bluetooth single DIN radio, no heated/cooled seat, bulletproof suspension, e-locker, rugged seat material, and beefy factory tires. Maybe a manual trans, if we ask nice?! None of this luxury stuff has anything to do with "TRD". Toyota really has milked and watered down that "Racing Development" for all its worth.


Want fancy? Get a limited or whatever.

Hearing the same from the dealers I'm in contact with too. Most likely talking to the same dealers.
