(FYI I've been lurking for 3 years looking for 6th gen info, and waiting to buy a new 4 Runner for the same amount of time. Decided to create an account to comment on your linked article)
The 4 Runner in the review does indeed have the push button start and a new center head unit, so I trust these aren't old stock photos. But it seems the instrument panel in the pictures is different than the one Toyota teased. Makes me wonder if this unit was simply provided for review, with more changes coming.
I had convinced myself that the 2020 changes were an indication that Toyota was sticking with this model another few years. And, therefore, I had also convinced myself it would be time to pick up a 2020. Seeing how minimal these changes are, however, makes me think this could in fact be a 1-2 year stop-gap until the 6th gen arrives.
On an unrelated note, I've seen a voodoo blue on a Toyota lot in Calgary Alberta (Henninger) for the past couple weeks, in case anyone was looking for one with a sunroof. No idea on the asking price.
They are asking $59K + gst. I’m in Edmonton and there are 2 voodoo blue 4runner pros that are for sale and the dealerships are also asking $59K,that’s probably the MSRP for western Canada.

Anyone know when dealers start to order the 2020 models?
Been told beginning of June. Since I placed my deposit 2 months ago I can’t wait to hear about final price, options, etc and dual exhaust

The site hasn't been updated with the 4runner image, still shows 2019. And the brochure is still the 2019 model. But the bottom of the page clearly shows 2020 4runner information.
I placed a deposit and my name on a waitlist back when the 2020 4Runner TRD Pro's were announced in early February and I followed up with my dealer yesterday. No updates yet.

Spoke to my dealer today and they don't think they will be able to order until August, they are going to check on Monday and get back to me.

I spoke with my dealer yesterday and no real update. He said around July is what he was told that when they can place allocation orders and that I was definitely first. Long story short, I placed a deposit on a 2019 TRD Pro in January, but cancelled that and applied it to a 2020 as soon as they announced the 2020 4Runner TRD Pro colors at the Chicago auto show in early Feb.
I don't think there's been any official update sent from Toyota Corp to dealers regarding 2020 4runners yet. Otherwise, we'd hear more updates.
Also, he said that the link I sent him (which was in my previous post) was for Fleet purchases not dealerships for regular customers.

Curious, What dealership did you speak with? I'm also in Seattle and looking at trading in my 2015 SR5 for a 2020 TRD Pro. Looking for what Toyota dealerships to avoid. Thanks!

No intent to cause distress or discount what any of you have been told by dealers (perhaps different than my experience), but sitting on sidelines after having gone through process to get 2018 TRD Pro, I find it somewhat amusing hearing what the dealers have told people has not changed from what I heard and vs. what actually ends up happening are usually at odds and makes me feel like it all is mainly designed to further sales process and keep hook baited. No doubt you'll ultimately get your rigs but dealers rarely impart forecast information about timing on things that is accurate and unfortunately many times just say things to support their sale. This never helps during the waiting game when you are excited about a new upcoming rig. Cheers and enjoy your 2020 Pros when you finally get them.

Just my experience r/e Seattle dealers on TRD Pros, Auburn and Burien were ONLY dealers in WA let alone Seattle area that were willing to sell TRD Pro at MSRP without "premium" or "market rate adjustment." Sales interface in my experience at Bremerton and Magic Toyota in north Seattle were an absolute joke (very shifty dealing and in case of Magic disrespectful). Everyone else falls somewhere in between.
If I were buying again, I would buy at Burien with Auburn as second choice.

Stopped by my local dealer and sat down with the new car manager for a bit. He tried to enter what I wanted into the PPO software and it kept hanging up on the accessories section, so it acknowledges the 2020 models, it just seems to be lacking certain information to complete it.
He’s going to keep playing with it to see if he can get it to finish the order.
