Correct, it's listed under Factory Options for the VENTURE model only. Wasn't an option on SR5s or even Off Road PR.

Wait a sec, correct me if I'm wrong but this looks like a TRD ORP with the Pro appearance package? (KDSS?)

I can confirm there is a VENTURE model (model 8667). Looking at the sheet details all I see is GREY gunmetal TRD wheels, roof rack cross bars, and black exterior accents.

OVERLAND is an option (OV) but I have no clue what that includes. Maybe the TRD Pro roof rack or something cheesy if I had to guess.

I work for Toyota, looking at an order sheet now. No pics or even pricing at this point though. Our list goes in order from base SR5 down to PRO, and the Venture model is right above the SR5 Premium and a Limited so, my hunch is its mostly appearance stuff much like the Nightshade crap.

Is it above the SR5 or limited? Are any of the others removed?

Appears Similar, but slightly different, no "TOYOTA" Grill, gunmetal Wheels instead of black, no pro roof rack.

This kind of lines up with CNET(ROAD SHOW)'s claim of late Aug release date:

Look for the 2020 4Runner to hit dealerships as early as late August, at which point final pricing should be available. Given its modest updates, don't expect prices to change too much from the 2019 4Runner.

So I'm guessing we'll have to wait another 2-3 weeks for official information.

That's nice to see the black lug nuts on the TRD Pro. If we can't get any of the other goodies transferred to our older rigs, can at least probably get the black lug nuts that are properly designed for our OEM wheels.

Look for the 2020 4Runner to hit dealerships as early as late August, at which point final pricing should be available. Given its modest updates, don't expect prices to change too much from the 2019 4Runner.

I doubt it as production on new model year 4runners starts in August typically. Probably November time frame when hit dealerships.

Soooo.... Looking at this, we should be able to retrofit the current head unit including CarPlay directly into previous year units. At least is looks like there are no other changes to the center stack from my 2016 4Runner.

Also, does anyone know if the CarPlay will be wireless, or will you have to plug your phone in?

Definitely not wireless and it's highly likely that at the very least it will require a different USB port if not other components as well.

But as the poster above replied, it will probably also cost as much as just trading in for the new 4Runner.

If dual climate control isn't standard but can at least be an option to add on the TRDOR then I can live with that and won't lose sleep.

Stuff like climate control is almost never an option, otherwise I feel like we would have seen it at some point in the past 10 years. There's KDSS, moonroof, and sliding cargo tray, and it's been like that forever.

Don't get me wrong, I realllly really hope we're wrong. Just don't want to get my hopes up.

At the end of the day, dual climate control is a very nice thing to have, but inconsequential. My gripe is that Toyota can, but won't add it to the other trims. Seriously milking the cow here and pinching every penny, and it sucks because we're still going to buy the vehicle regardless.

Since there has been absolutely no mention of the Limited model officially or in order guides, I am guessing that it really wont be changing - same exterior colors, same interior colors, same wheels, same accents, + the other things every trim gets: 8" screen, CarPlay, Android Auto, Alexa, TSS-P, etc.

I was worried that Canada's "3 row only" rule would have applied to the US, but if so, that would have been mentioned as a model change in the order guide notes... and it wasn't.

Now the question: Is it worth trading in a 2016 with 28k miles for a 2020?

The new Venture model basically sounds like the early 5th gen trails with the black body cladding and handles.

I guess I'm a little confused about the alleged Canadian option sheet. The images above are from TMNA, which I would assume controls product in US and CA. Given that, there's a discrepancy between the sources - and historically US and CA haven't differed that much across the lines.

Man... Toyota is getting greedy with these things. I get the business case - "What's it worth? What someone is willing to pay." and they're flying off the lots - but at face value, what you're getting for $50k is... comparatively... not a lot.

I'm currently driving a Rav4 that has CarPlay and aside from being able to do voice-to-text for text messages, I am just not seeing where the hype comes from. I'm more interested in TSS-P than CarPlay, if we're honest. A $1,500 bump is a lot - I wonder how that breaks out for employee pricing.
