My dealer said similar. They are able to see their allocations today (and they put my name on the first Army Green Pro), and should be loaded into their inventory any day now.

Good to hear that Toyota's finally getting the ball rolling!! I'm not 100% but I think I'm on the list as well since my sales rep asked me for details of what exactly what I'm planning to order when he confirmed showroom ETA. I'll definitely be bugging him again come monday!:thumb:

I’ve been looking at the Tesla Model 3. Tesla just lowered prices by $2.5 - $6K. Tesla owners lit up the forums because the car they bought just became $6K cheaper and accuse Tesla of being greedy.

My other choice, getting another 4Runner. Toyota is increasing prices by $1 - $3K. 4Runner owners lit up the forums because that’s a $6K increase on the TRD Pro in two years and accuse Toyota of being greedy.

Lower prices, people get mad. Raise prices, people get mad. Car manufacturers can’t win, I suppose.

I have my deposit down for a 2020 TRD Pro and couldn’t be more excited. This will be my first 4Runner after having a Taco for the last seven years. Does anyone here know if with the push button start if it will also get remote connect? I haven’t found anything myself. Could be cool to remote start from an app though.

With the push start your engine is gonna shut off every time you open the door with oem or aftermarket remote starters. I don't know what Toyotas logic is other than I hate it so much I bought a 19 instead

I am not sure about the shutting off when you open the door part, but, on the Camry and Corollas they have a built in remote connect that lets you remote start, unlock your doors, see status about tire pressure and gas from an app on your phone or smart watch. Definitely not a need to have, but, would be a cool feature if they included it. I just hadn’t seen anywhere if the remote connect was going to be included with the addition of push start.

I love the price jump. Keeps my resale high.

I think it'll turn out to be a mistake though. Long term. $50k for a 4runner!?! It creates a big gap for a competitor to come compete in the 30k basic utility SUV market.

Unless... Toyota drops a new BOF SUV in the mix slotted below it.

Yes, that stuff is included. What he was saying is that Toyota remote start has a feature that shuts the vehicle off when you open the door after remote starting. My wife's Lexus does the same thing, and I called one of the techs long time ago to ask because I was confused why it did that. Their rationale is that it's for safety, to prevent someone driving off with your car. *shrug* Pretty sure they're the only manufacturer that does that, which is kinda dumb. Thankfully there's a remote start bypass kit somewhere around here, which should continue to work with all the new 4Runners, if one is so inclined to bypass it.

I've decided to get a 2019 or 2020 because of some issues with my 2016 I'm unhappy with. Looking around, inventory is rather sparse in the southeast. I'm just looking for a 4X4 Limited Black/Redwood with no third row and I can only find 2 in all of metro Atlanta.

I emailed my dealer asking if they could find me a 2019 or if they can see their 2020 allocations yet, and I haven't heard back. I did originally ask them (in April) to put me down for a 2020 Limited 4x4 Black/Redwood but I guess I'll find out if they kept that promise once he replies.

I am in Nashville and was able to put down a deposit on one at the beginning of July. Expected delivery is end of Sep/Beg of Oct.

I saw your post above and where you are located. I put in a Nashville zip into Southeast Toyota's site and it said that zip was outside the region for the site...

Not sure where their territory lies but it seems Tennessee may not be included.

Correct. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina are part of Southeast Toyota.

I believe Tennessee may be Mid-Southern.

Jan, you should ashamed! I understand there are upgrades since then, but really? The only other ancient product that comes to mind to compare is the Dodge Challenger which has increased sales every year, despite its age. The people like nostalgia and are willing to pay for it I guess. I happen to be one of the those people (owned a few Challengers) and despite me being upset, I’ll keep my order for a 2020 Army Green TRD Pro. Though for 10k more, a base 2020 Corvette is mighty tempting.

2019 TRD Pro final price after taxes in Canada (Ontario) is around 66K out the door. Given this year increase it most likely be around 70K or a bit more. I might try to price out outgoing 2019 Lexus GX for insane discount and pay 7K more.

Just trying to see and make final decision once I hear final price for 2020.
