That's interesting - my dealer had no issues removing the running boards (+ black out overlays and door edge guards) off of my optional equipment

I’m sure if someone asked their dealer for transport steelies in lieu of the TRD rims, there would be no argument from the dealer!

Looking back at it, if the dealer offered enough of a rebate or discount. Since they would just take those wheel/tires and place on Off road or SR5, I would have taken that option. I ended up going right to FN Pros instead for properly seating 285s, and sold the stock pro wheels at a discount in my eyes.
I am sure the delta would have been much closer, than what I did to pay for almost the same wheel twice.

Quick montage of web photos for fun... quickly found same driver ass-end angle shot of all five years. Given not best pictures and lighting varies which drastically changes the look because of depth in Pro paint jobs, etc. but really cool to see them all in one photo.
What's next I wonder?

Matte Black would be awesome... even though not at all realistic that chase scene :lookout: in the Black Panther movie with all the black T4R's driven by the bad guys was awesome - and I like the black Pros which look sooo cool but Black paint shows EVRYTHING. Maybe Matte is better.
As for the five so far, I won't deviate from my own lovely Cav blue being my fav... but I actually do think Cement takes second place and Green is third but will reserve judgement until I see the green all "dolled up."

The color varies like crazy depending on the lighting. That video erased all doubts for me, Army green looks amazing!

I know I sound like an ******* when I say this, but I can’t stand these kind of guys who work on lots. If I know more about your product line than you, go do something else.

It's a product of the distribution model. Those guys being knowledgeable about the forthcoming vehicles let alone the ones already there is not a requirement for the dealer getting your money. They are merely there to escort "sheep" (aka you and me) to the "slaughterhouse" (aka the sales and finance managers). Dealers want to sell the vehicles already on their lots way more than ordering a rig for you because there is less profit in that so those guys on the lot not knowing a great deal about what is not already on the lot actually helps the dealer.
Anyone like us here know exactly what we want and will ignore the misinformation and find the right person to put in order but most showing up will be persuaded that they want something available on the lot. In the end they are not there to be knowledgeable or helpful but merely to assist the stealership with parting you from your hard earned $$$. "Market rate adjustments", expensive protection plans, coating services, any dealer add ons all only make pure profit for the dealer and hose the consumer. Just get your rig with minimal extras and GTFO!!! Have your financing pre-arranged before going, refuse to pay more the MSRP for a Pro, watch out for hidden BS on the sticker, decline anything extra the dealer wants to sell you and be on your way with minimal trauma. Never look back.
I’m happy to report I just put a deposit down on a 2020 ORP! Dealer says it should arrive in October. I received my VIN and detail sheet. I’ve been following this thread for awhile now and this is the most detail I’ve seen. Keep it Wild Savings is getting carried over from 2019.
Surprised to hear that the dealer would not remove any of the optional equipment that will be port installed. I don’t care for the exhaust tip or door edge guard, and I know I can find the cross bars cheaper elsewhere. Should I ask to speak to a manager?
