It’s quite unbelievable the price there going up to msrp. It don’t make sense for me to trade in my 17 Pro sitting with 11,000 miles on it. It’s valued kkb about 40,000. If I wait till fall I would get almost what I paid. But I like not having car payments. So I don’t think it is worth putting out a couple of grand until I see the new army green in person.

Eventually, they will have all flavors just sitting there so the not below MSRP thing wont last. Maybe the first year, if they are lucky but not after that. Just an opinion, I realize.

From what I understand, the colors are only year specific, besides like black. The Army Green is the main motivator for the purchase. Otherwise would probably keep the 16' another year or so.
I am sure I could wait 6-8 months through the year and save 1-2k though somewhere else.

I suppose I should have expected Toyota to constrict the color options for the Venture edition to (...checks notes...) no colors at all: black, white, and charcoal. Even silver is out (too wild?).
No red; no blue. Venture colors are the Pro colors minus the exclusive color. I can see taking nautical blue off the table, but black accents on red: what’s not to like?

I've heard nothing from my dealer since they called me two weeks ago and said they reserved an allocation for a TRD OFP exactly how I want and it should be here in two weeks. I called them last week and they said there were no updates, still at port, no price. So that didn't happen, I'm hoping i'll at least have more info by the end of the month if not sooner.

Mine’s been at port since 8/20. No update on status last I checked with dealer last week - other than it’s still processing at port.
Hoping to get it mid Sept. attached are the price sheets where I had the dealer add the TRD exhaust (shows $0). Initially, the exhaust wasn’t on the order

I think the TRD Pros are being held up. Maybe waiting on installation of parts.. who knows?

Mine sat at port over a month. Story I was told is that they were delayed at port waiting to clear inspection/abatement for "Japanese pollen" of all things. I had same deal with build sheet including VIN, etc. and was happy to see it hit port in April 18 but ended up waiting until mid June before it hit dealer lot.

I was told I’m set for the allocation for my dealer from October 5th to 7th. Don’t know if that means delivery to lot or arrive in port. Guessing on the lot.
Haven’t received the VIN or discussed options for the build sheet yet. He said we’d be in touch.

I don't think we get the TRD Exhaust on the Canadian version. I guess we will see!

Can't find any in Canada. Funny thing is that the Toyota Canada website has had the configurator up for a while and US site isn't up yet. I will never understand how these companies do things.

I know the changes are minor, but the face of the 2020 Limited has to be the worst 4Runner front end of all time. It's like nobody cares or is paying attention?
For starters, how many sizes of horizontal bars can you fit the front of on one vehicle? You've got the oversize, gaudy chrome bar at the bottom/middle part of the grille, the one above that below the headlights that is something like 1/2 as thick, then now for 2020, a pencil sized horizontal line going from either side of the emblem.
When you look at the materials, at the bottom under the gaudy chrome bar, you have a series of horizontal slats, then above that bar you have mesh, then with the new bar on either side of the emblem, you have open space.
YIKES. This seriously looks like the cues and materials were pulled from 3-4 different vehicles.
I know the current Limited front end doesn't have many fans, but I think when you black out the big chrome bar - or some parts of it - things come together pretty nicely. New one is a disaster.

Or maybe adjusting toward reality? See Real World MPG Thread… depending on the rig some there boast mileage that matches up to sticker. Many are 16-19MPG (I got this on my previous non-Pro 2006 T4R. But my Pro sucks.... 14-16MPG with 18-19mpg as best case scenario in ideal freeway conditions. And this is without serious mods... just tube steps and Yakima Aero bars really are all that would hurt factory mileage really. Personally I think even 17/21 on a TRD Pro is a pipe dream.

Downgrades across the board. Limited 4x4s are 16/19, down from 17/20.
